"Maya, dear." He said taking another step forward, he could now smell the sweet tang of the cherry, favored wine she had been sipping. "I only have eyes for one woman." "Really?" In Rise City, the sun just came out of its place of rest as it spread its warm rays across the bright blue sky.
Despite being that early, the city was bustling and sounds of cars moving on the streets were heard and chattering of people.
In the northern part of the city, a large palace-like mansion sat proudly on the hill and everyone could see the building no matter the corner of the city they were in.
Growling and gunshots were heard from the large building compound and the whole place was filled with different people fighting.
Among them was a beautiful silver haired lady who was dressed in a tank top and tight pants with lots of pockets.
She charged at the lady before her who was attacking her with a sword but she threw the lady she was fighting a series of punches, trying to avoid being cut by the sharp blade.
"Faster Maya, faster. Your speed isn't high enough." A masculine voice yelled and the silver haired lady just rolled her eyes inwardly.
She grabbed her opponent by the arms when she saw an opening and pinned her to the ground but before she knew it, a brown wolf charged towards her.
The wolf missed her with just an inch and she rolled down in the dust.
The brown wolf glared at her as it took a stance showing it was ready to pounce. As she focused on the wolf, the lady she pinned to the ground picked her sword swiftly and charged at her.
The silver haired lady sensed her attacks and dodged the sword that was thrusted at her and at the same time, the wolf leaping at her.
The two, sword and wolf, almost struck each other but the wolf swiftly changed her form to that of a human and ducked, rolling on the ground with the sword slicing through her skin, making a minor cut.
"Be careful next time, you could have been hurt." The silver haired lady said as she looked at the lady crouching on the ground.
"Yes, Alpha Maya."
"Maya, fist fight." Someone yelled and the silver haired lady charged at the speaker, throwing a series of punches at him.
"Thigh stand." She yelled at the person near to her who suddenly got down on one knees and she jumped up on it before kicking her opponent straight at the jaw.
Not giving up, he grabbed her hands and twisted it but she quickly broke free from his grip.
Despite being focused on the fight, she moved gracefully and elegantly. Her movement both showed domination and seriousness.
Her silver hair followed her movements, standing out from the other parts of her body.
Her opponent threw powerful punches at her and she swiftly dodged his punches making it seem like he wasn't even attacking her.
She dodged his punches and occasionally struck back before she grabbed his arm and pulled him forward while swinging her knee upwards to hit his belly region.
He swiftly swirled to the side, dodging the attack but before he could compose himself, she suddenly traps his arm between her legs and torques the elbow unnaturally, making him groan in pain.
"Maya let go."
The silver haired lady let go of him and immediately another wolf charged at her and threw her off her balance.
She immediately shifted and stood her ground. Her silver fur was beautiful and compelling and easily stood out.
Before the two wolves could pounce on each other, someone stood between them.
"Wrap it up Maya." Her aunt, Gione said before walking away.
She relaxed, then laid on the floor, shifting back to her human form. She then stood up and waved her hands, signalling she was done with her training session for the morning.
"That was nice, alpha." A man walked to her before handing her a towel, a robe and a bottle of water.
"Thank you Jerry." She patted his shoulder before cleaning her neck and hair which was soaked with sweat already. She pulled the robe on and tied it before turning to leave.
"Maya." An older masculine voice called her and she stopped in her tracks to look back at her caller.
"Good morning father." She bowed respectfully and he nodded.
"We haven't had our training session in days." Raymond, her father said and she just smirked.
"I've managed to pin you twice father and I seem to be lagging behind today. I need more training." She replied as she tossed the towel back to Jerry.
Jerry was her Omega and he was always there whenever her beta wasn't there. She apparently was busy with other things.
"You have been busy with the office and the city work so I don't blame you. You've been a good leader so far Maya." Raymond commended making her smile gently.
Maya was the supreme alpha of the werewolves living in Rise City. She was the first ever female to ever be the supreme alpha and she had to fight for this position.
The Rise City pack was the strongest along with the Black Sun pack and they would stop at nothing to retain their reputation of being strong.
"Are you sure you aren't too tired of managing the city's affairs and your company's affairs? I can assist you while..."
"No need to worry about me, father. I have been doing a great job since all these days and you can't deny that either." Maya cut him off as she put up her hair to allow fresh air.
"Still, I am strong enough to handle the affairs of the city." Raymond tried to reason with his daughter.
"I am an Alpha father. Little work like this shouldn't be what you should be worried about. You know I can do it." Maya assured as she hugged her father gently.
"Alright darling. Any luck yet? About your ma..."
A brown wolf ran into the field like it was being chased into the place. Raymond stopped talking when he saw his daughter shift her attention from him to her beta who she caught sight of.
"Phoebe." Maya walked towards the wolf who shifted immediately she heard her alpha call.
Someone handed her a robe and she wore it hurriedly before bowing.
"Alpha Maya." Phoebe, her beta, called between trying to catch her breath. "There is a problem."
"What is the problem?" Maya asked with raised brows.
"Rogues."
That only meant one thing. A fight.
"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Maya asked Phoebe as she examined her.
She had a few cuts which had started healing slowly. Normally, it should have healed but it was a cut from a Rogue which slowed down the process of healing.
"I'm fine Alpha but their force seemed to have increased, but still, the men were able to hold them back at the borders." Phoebe explained and Maya nodded gently.
Maya had sent Phoebe to the border immediately it was dawn to go see how things were doing there and now she returned with a piece of very bad but useful news.
"Get the men, we're leaving for the borders." Maya commanded in her alpha tone. Making the rest of them training terrified for a moment despite being used to it.
About hundreds of wolves rushed out of the pack mansion a few minutes later and they were led by a silver wolf whose speed was insanely faster than the rest of them.
Although she tried to reduce her speed, it still showed. She wanted to reach the borders as fast as she could to check you on her men.
The main reason the people of Rise City liked her rule was that she was a caring ruler and didn't find herself too Superior to care about those under her.
The pack of wolves ran through another route where they could see the whole city below them. They didn't want to alert the people that something was wrong.
Maya looked down at the bustling city as she ran along with the pack. After an almost half an hour race, they got to the main building at the border, created for the soldiers to camp.
As soon as they got there, Maya shifted and took a cloth to put on. The men were immediately aware that the Alpha was around and they all assembled outside.
The men standing guard at the border bowed in respect as they saw her. Maya didn't even look at them, she just walked to the general.
"Why did they get closer this time?" Maya asked the general who just stepped out of his office.
"Greetings Alpha Maya." The general bowed in respect before leading her to the Rogue they caught.
He was still in his animal form, glaring at Maya deadly.
"Shift into your human form now." Maya commanded but he just snarled at her and she got his words, saying. "You don't order me around."
Maya rolled her eyes before walking to the blazing furnace by where the man was tied. She pulled out a silver rod as she covered her hands.
The men around knew Maya's brutality when it comes to torture and punishment. They couldn't help but pity the Rogue who didn't know what he got himself into.
Maya smirked as she swung the rod, making it hit the Rogue's chest with a hard bang, but it wasn't hard enough to kill him.
He howled in pain and immediately shifted from his animal form to his human form. The burn made by the silver rod was visible and burning.
Maya smirked triumphantly as she returned the rod to the fire. "Now tell me. The Rogues came back stronger, what is behind their powers?"
"I'd rather... die... than tell it... to you." He groaned in pain. The mark Maya inflicted on him burned him to the bones and it wasn't healing at all.
"Too bad none of your others came back to tell you how brutal I am when torturing, young man." Maya stood before him and raised his chin to look at her.
"Tell me what I need to know and I might decide to let you live but if you decide to be against me and you decide death. I'll have to make you beg for this opportunity I'm giving you again."
"Now let's try again shall we." Maya took the rod and swung it on the same wounded spot again and he let out an ear-piercing scream with the animal in him howling along.
"Will you tell me the truth now or you choose the other option I gave you? I'll tell you again, I am a brutal Alpha and I don't care if you're a living thing."
"I won't... ever tell you the... truth." He forced out again and Maya snapped her fingers and he was let loose.
Maya grabbed his brown long hair and dragged him along, towards the little house beside the camp house.
"No one should follow me. I'm dealing with him myself." Maya warned as she stepped into the small house.
A few minutes later, they could hear howling and screaming from the house despite the house being far into the ground.
After half an hour, Maya walked out of the room with a satisfied smirk and blood all over her hands.
"He isn't dead. Once he wakes up, ask the nurse to treat him." Maya ordered the general who nodded obediently.
The new men there couldn't help but be afraid of the Alpha they had. She looked sweet and innocent like she would never torture anyone that much.
Although her aura commanded respect and held her alpha traits in it, none of them could believe what she just did. And she was even asking the nurse.to treat him so she would torture him more.
"Isn't that too much Alpha? We surely would get information out of another one if they walk close to the territory." Phoebe asked but all Maya did was a smirk.
"I did like the torture though. It's been weeks since I tortured someone last." Maya licked her lips as she washed off the blood on her.
"Erm, you still did that a few days ago." Phoebe recalled as Maya gulped down a bottle of water.
"The morning is still young Phoebe, I have to enjoy my day." Maya stretched. "Any news?"
"Yes there is. Peter sent news from the office to remind you today is the meeting with all the boards of partners of the entertainment industries." Phoebe informed her.
"Good then. Arrange my car, I'll be attending the meeting myself right after I get to my company."
"No, I don't want to go back, please don't make me." I pleaded, bowling my eyes out.
