He said, "What's your name, young lady?" "Fire Scar Clarkson" "You may leave," he murmured, surprising me with the third blink of my eyes. "Will you choose me?" I said it directly. "Why would I choose you?" he questioned, his lips curving as though he found the sound interesting. "Because I'm your sixth and final wife," I stated boldly.
Ch. 1"Hija, your father called you," Manang said when I came home.
I sighed.
"OK, Manang," I said with a phony smile.
I walked up to my room for a while to change my clothes because I had just gotten home from work before I could change. Then I decided to go down the stairs, and I instantly spotted my father sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea next to me; on the other hand, his wife is my stepmom.
"It's good to come down," my stepmom murmured as she noticed me heading into the living room. I didn't see her and sat quietly on the sofa.
They were really solemn.
"What is it, Dad? I have work I need to finish."
My father sipped his tea again before placing it on the center table.
"The Larckstone Family is organizing a public blind date party, and they are all inviting single ladies with the surname Wealth to participate in the upcoming event. "To be the sixth wife for their only son, Hellios Larckstone," he remarked solemnly.
I remain silent and wait for his next few words, but I'm still perplexed as to why he's suddenly telling me this. After all, am I not interested in attending that blind date party because I'm not a desperate girl eager to sell myself to those men?
Consider yourself his sixth wife. What happens if he ever gets to choose that blind date? It will come to an end back into divorceappens if he ever gets to choose that blind date? It will come to an end back into divorce. I'm puzzled why that happens to people who marry him.
"Avoid another divorce. Hellios must marry a woman with a specific surname." My stepmother stated that I just arched my eyebrows as if saying, "Hell, I don't care."
"Then?" I queried because I don't understand their ideas and they don't talk to me about these topics in particular.
"Our company requires the Larckstone advantages."
"I have nothing to do with the fact that I am not near the Larckstones, so why are you saying this to me?" I explain flatly.
This bothers me, especially when they make them slur what they're saying.
"I want you to join the upcoming blind date, Fime," Dad remarked honestly.
"You must be kidding me, dad." I chuckle as if I've just heard the greatest ridiculous joke, but I'm unhappy since dad is frowning at me.
"But why me, dad?" I exaggerated.
"Why not Veronica? She has a good chance of getting a billionaire man," I said, sounding annoyed to my adoring stepdaughter, but I didn't care because I was saying the truth.
"HOW DARE YOU!" my stepmom yelled violently, but I'm fine with her, right?
"I guess the truth hurts," I say innocently.
"I can't let Veronica go. I don't want her to know what it's like to be a widowed or divorced woman. Your sister is worth more, man." I chuckled heartily.
'sister'
would never happen in my life. "Is she that important to you, dad?" I had to remind myself.
"You love her that much to force me? I am your legitimate daughter, but will you sacrifice your own daughter for your beloved company? And for your beloved stepdaughter? Why isn't Veronica just useful? As for their being attached to the household of
*BUCK!
When my father's hand quickly landed on my cheek, I didn't finish what I was saying. My heart instantly ached, and it gradually broke. I can't believe he appreciates that dangling girl more than my real son; it's hilarious!
I'm cradling my now-bleeding cheek.
My cheeks are puffy from the power of my father's slap, so I massage them and stare at him blankly.
"This is how you please me, dad." I asked him inadvertently.
My stepmother is enraged, as is my adoring father, whom I have known my entire life. What a shame, right? In any case, I've already utilized it.
"Your attitude, Scar!" I must have smiled fatly when he stated I was ashamed of my behavior.
"I'm asking you, dad, do you love your stupid child so much that you would put your real son in such a situation? "The man got divorced for the fifth time, and Imponent?"
disliked stated. I squeezed my hand so tightly that my fingernails dug deep into my palm. "Scar, you have to understand that Veronica won't fit in." "So I fit in with that man, right, Vivian?" I asked, raising my eyebrows. "Scar! Respect your mother!" Dad yelled fiercely, and I burst out laughing! Laughter laced with venom.
"Mom died ten years ago, dad," I sneered. "How did she become my mommy?"
"She will never be my mother, mark my words," I stated firmly, as he became surprised before regaining his composure.
"I asked you one last time, do you really want me to follow your order?" I was expecting he'd say 'no' or retract his statement, but he didn't. I looked at Dad with a lowered shoulder when I saw him nodding determinedly, and he didn't even think twice about his answer.
I was seeking his regrets, but there were none-a fucking none!
"Fine," I answered reluctantly.
Both of their faces lit up quickly. My father stood up to hug me, but I stopped him because I was tired and sick of seeking his love-the love of my father-but I guess he can never do that. I gave up since he would never love me.
I groaned several times, and they both smiled at their husbands. I take a stance. It's funny how her father devoted all but his attention to her stepsister. Isn't it hilarious?
"This is the last time I will do what you want since I became the sixth wife; I'm no longer your son, Mr. Clarfson, but don't worry, I'll assure you that I will help the company; will I let the company go bankrupt if I own it?" I answered unemotionally.
I curled my lips to disguise my smirk as I saw my father's pale and incredible expression. Unfortunately, they force me to limit this type of
I left them perplexed.
Cont.
When I entered my room, I let out the tears I had been holding back.
back from the brink of disaster! You've got it together, Dad! Do you prefer Veronica to me? While I am your biological son!
"I HATE YOU, DAD! I hate you! I WISH YOU NEVER BECAME A DAD! I WISH!" I yelled.
I don't care if they listen intently now, so he knows I despise him. It's worse than the devil when he turns his back and loves that stupid woman, especially his wife.
I can't believe Dad loved those thugs more than his own son. It's quite amusing.
"Wait a minute, dad, I'll show you that you chose the wrong person, and from now on, no Fime Scar Clarfson is weak." I wiped my tears as I stared at the screen.
"Hija, here are the clothes you will wear," Ma'am Vivian remarked, handing me a paper bag. I merely smiled at her and placed the paper bag she had brought on my bed.
"Hija, are you okay?" Manang said to me, then took the comb and combed my long hair."
"Of course, man." I tried not to cry since I knew Manang would be concerned about me, but he is the only one who is concerned about me in this house.
"I heard you crying last night, and I wanted to let you into your room, but your father stopped me." "Hija, I don't blame you if you hold a grudge against your father, but he was hurt by what you said, especially when you said it in front of your father."
"When you yelled how much you despise him, son, remember that no matter what happens, he is still your father; don't forget that," my manang continued in a continuous litany.
He wiped my already-fallen tears, which shocked me.
"Thank you, man," I murmured humbly.
I'm embarrassed because I think I'm in a good place.
"Okay, it'll be fine because the person who will pick you up will arrive soon," Manang said as he exited my room.
I sighed heavily as I remembered what Manang had told me.
It's true that what I said wounded my father, but it's impossible; it doesn't matter to me. Maybe he's even delighted that I'll lose this house if I don't do it.
"I'm really beautiful," I told myself firmly once I finished arranging myself.
Actually, I only wear light make-up because I'm already beautiful. Haha, you guys should be confident! Then I just wore my long hair down and a tiger-striped midi cami dress with a 4-inch crystal stiletto, and viola!
You can tell I'm in love with myself because I can't take my gaze away from the mirror.
I entered my room with an apathetic expression. I don't let them know I'm frail, vulnerable, and kind! I'll show them the demon that they awoke.
"I'm leaving," I said as I walked out of this damned house.
I heard my father but did not look at him. I don't want to feel bad, so maybe my plan will be different this time. I simply sit properly and gaze out the window.

He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
