But that dream wash away when she got into highschool and met, the guy who made her highschool life a living hell. Jude Andrews. Years past and to save her father business, 24 year old Maddie was set in an arrange marriage to the person the hate the most.
Madison stare at her dad in disbelief. Was she hearing wrong. Did he just told her that he set her up on an arrange marriage.
"You're the eldest, it's only fair. Plus it's for the good of the company." Peter said.
Madison eyes drifted to her two sisters who stood at their dad side. It was clear now.
Madison was the black sheep of the family. Her two sisters is her father eye whole.
"You called me back here because of this?" Madison shake her head. She wasn't even surprise. Peter only called her when he needed her.
"Maddie, father's company is going through bankruptcy." Daniella said.
"If you know it's going through bankruptcy. Why don't you marry who ever it is, father wants me to marry." Maddie retort.
Daniella press her lips in a thin line. The reason why Daniella and Stella wasn't going to marry the man. Is because he's a playboy. Peter didn't want his precious daughters to be betrayed by their husband.
"That's enough." Peter glare at Madison. "Madison, you will go through with thus arrange met."
Madison open her mouth to argue.
"Need I remind you about your brother." Peter cut her off. "He's still in the hospital. Do you seriously not want him to receive treatment."
Madison snap her mouth shut. Her hands form into fists by her side. One thing she now about her father is that he's a coward, always using the weak to get what he want.
Her brother Chad, was born with a weak body. He been in an out of the hospital from when he was an infant now he's only eight years old.
Peter was a pig. The only one of his children that share the same mother is Daniella and Stella.
Madison was born by his first wife who die from sickness when Maddie was just two years old. Soon after that Peter remarried to Daniella and Stella mother Gretta.
And of course Gretta wouldn't threat Maddie well. Typical stepmother.
When Maddie was fourteen and the twins were eight. Gretta found out that Peter been cheating on her, when his mistress called and told her about Chad.
Chad was abandon by his mother, and when Peter found out that Chad was born with a weak body, he too abandon Chad.
Madison took it on herself to raise and take care of Chad. Cha d is her only family she couldn't let anything happen to him.
Madison nails dug in the palm of her. "Fine. I'll do it."
Peter nod in satisfaction. "You'll go meet him tonight for dinner. So go find a nice dress."
Madison nod and made her way out. She got in her car and drove to the hospital. She made her way to Chad room.
"Chad," Madison push the door open.
The little boy turn from the window. A smile plaster on his face. "Maddie."
"I bought the soccer ball you wanted."
Chad eyes lit up at Maddie words. He always wanted to played soccer. Maddie sometimes caught Chad staring at the kids out side playing soccer. So she decided to surprise him.
Madison took the soccer ball and give it to Chad.
"TThak you. You're the beat sister ever." Chad hug Madison.
Maddie chuckled rubbing Chad's back. "I know, I know. Now get back to bed. It's time for you to rest."
Maddie help Chad in bed and pour him a glass of a glass of water.
"Maddie, can you peal me and apple?" Chad ask.
How can Maddie say no to him. "Okay, I'll just run out to get some."
Madison pulled out her phone to text a friend about her plans for the night. Being lost in her phone and not paying attention to her surrounding. Maddie bump right into a person falling flat on her
"Ow," She mutter standing up, rubbing her butt. Noting it was her fault she turn to apologize. "I'm sor- It's you." Madison face darken seeing the man that stood before her with his head tilted slightly to the side.
The corner of the man's lip turn upward. He wasn't expecting to see Maddie today.
"It's been a while. Come on don't give that look." Jude chuckled.
One thing Madison wish for when she was a little girl. Was to grow up and have a simple life. Everything was going good until she met Jude Andrews. Madison came to the thought that Jude was born to end her.
"Don't act like we're familiar with eachother," Maddie snap.
"Tsk. You know that temper of yours is one of the things I hate about you." Jude roll his eyes.
Maddie scoff. "Yeah? Your very existence is what I hate about you."
"Keep your voice down. We're in the hospital."
Maddie are daggers at Jude. Huffing she storm pass him.
Jude chuckled and continued walking.
"Grandfather I'm here." He push the door open.
An elderly man lay on the bed, staring up at the TV. When he heard his grandson, the old man gaze went to door and smile.
"Judah. You finally decided to come meet this old man?" Robert snap playfully.
"Grandfather, the moment I heard you were sick I jump on the first flight I can catch." Jude sat in the chair next to Robert bed.
"Well anyway, I'm glad you finally back." Robert gaze went back on the TV. "Look at that."
Jude follow his gaze and saw his cousin Vincent.
"That brat know that his grandfather is sick and hasn't visit once." Robert argue.
"Don't worth yourself up grandfather. It's not good for your health." Jude said tearing his gaze from the TV.
"Judah my boy. I'm an old man, my time on this earth would soon be over."
"Grandfather, please stop taking like that. You're only seventy-two still young." Judah say. The thought of losing his grandfather felt horrible.
"Shut up boy, let me finish. I already prepare my will. I left everything to you, but you can only have them if you get married. It will also split between you and your wife."
"Grandfather, you can't be serious." Jude narrow his brows. Married was the last thing on his mind.
"Before I go, I want to know that I left you in good hands. I already find the girl I want you to marry. She's a granddaughter of a close friend. It's sad that he wouldn't get to witness his granddaughter wedding." Robert continue. "You have to met her later."
Jude nod. Even though he didn't want to do it. He wasn't going to do it because of his grandfather will. But to see his grandfather happy. That's the least he could do for his grandfather who raise and cared for him.
