Will she give in to the darkness of revenge, or will she find solace in the light of justice?
Life is unscripted. What started in chaos might end up being the most beautiful experience ever, and what started out calmly, might blow up into pieces.
But that's life in general, not my wedding night which is tonight. This is supposed to be the best night of my life. Or isn't that what they said? That a woman's wedding night is the best night of her life. A night full of happiness and unforgettable memories.
But whatever I will feel tonight doesn't seem like happiness. Not when I am sitting on our bed, all alone, with my newly wedded husband nowhere to be found.
The cold night air breezes in from the large windows, chilling my bones, making me feel lonelier. Where he could have gone, I don't know. Why he decided that tonight of all nights is the best time to attend to that business, I don't understand.
He is supposed to be making love to me. Why aren't we currently on the sheets, entangled in each other's arms and kissing each other senseless? Where did he go?
The loud roar of laughter coming from the room down the hall filters into our room, triggering my loneliness to a dangerous level. I quickly bite my trembling lips so hard that I almost start tasting blood.
Tonight is supposed to be the best night of my life, not the worst, so I am not going to let the tears ruin my beautiful memories.
Deciding it's best if I take a walk outside on the cold night, I gather the long tail of my wedding dress and proceed out of the room and towards the hallway.
The silver lights lining the wide hallway shine so bright, illuminating every end of the space. Each step I take gets me closer to the room where the laughter has been coming from. Only that I can no longer hear that laughter anymore.
What fills the air as I stop in front of the door are loud moans being made by different voices. Not one or two, but three or even more.
Are they having a threesome? A clusterfuck?
Some of the remaining sadness lingering in my mind slips away, curiosity replacing it as I place my ear on the door for better audio. After all, what better way is there to chase away boredom than to listen to other people do what I am supposed to be doing.
The groans and moaning continue. It even seems like the two women involved are competing for who will sound better. Whoever the man is, he is hitting it at all the right angles, giving those two women the sexual gratification they desire.
"Come on, baby, it's time to give it to me. Show me what you got," the man says to the ladies.
One of them bursts into laughter. A laughter that sounds very familiar now that I am hearing it at a closer range.
The only person who I know that laughs that loud, with so much carefree, as if she has no other problems awaiting her, is Amanda, my best friend. I gasp when my thought goes to a new angle. Is she finally getting hit on by the man of her dreams?
A thrill of excitement runs down my spine at just the thought of that. Knowing how long she has blabbed about this mysterious guy fucking her, I am damn sure she will be having the time of her life.
But who could this mysterious man be, though? She never introduced him to me during the wedding reception. If he is here at the resort, that means he had definitely attended my wedding. Thinking about it, I didn't see her dancing with anyone.
An idea crosses my mind to go around and peep at them through the window. I discard that idea as quickly as possible because that would be invading her privacy. But knowing how carefree my best friend is, she wouldn't mind. In fact, Amanda will love for me to watch her riding her man.
I am still contemplating on whether to respect myself by simply walking away or to just fuck it and go look when I hear a voice that has my thoughts freezing.
"C'mon, come suck my dick. Who wants to go first?"
My heart skips a beat on realizing whose voice that belongs to.
"No... This can't be," I mutter to myself, "There is no way in hell..."
Without giving it a second thought, I flee through the hallway, running to circle through the back of the resort. Before my eyes could adjust to the dark outside, my feet have already collided with a rock, which has me struggling with my balance. My knees give up on me, and my body hits the floor hard.
"Arrghhh..." I yelp as the pain saturates through my body.
But that didn't stop me. Nothing can stop me from confirming what I just heard.
I struggle to try to get on my feet. When I notice that my dress tail is hooked on a rock, I use my last ounce of strength to pull it out. It didn't work. I try again, this time harder. Still not moving, I resort to tearing it out completely.
Finally getting up, I rush to the window where the worst thing that could happen to me is currently taking place.
I look through the window and the forbidden image crosses my line of sight. Tears start blurring my view a second later, just as my heart continues pounding in my chest, and I imagine for a second that it is going to explode.
"No ooooo...!!!" I scream.
Even though my view is blurry, I see them all pause on what they are doing.
Amanda, my best friend, is lying flat on her back, her face twisted in such a way that suggests that her orgasm is about to wash over her anytime now.
Matt, my husband, my supposed love of my life, is on top of Amanda, pounding the life out of her with his hardened dick.
"Isn't that Bella's voice?" I hear Amanda ask Matt.
He shrugs nonchalantly as a reply. Amanda turns to the third person in the room. That is when I notice who it is.
"That should be the little brat. Always whining like the bitch she is."
Lauren? My very own blood? She is the third party?
My breath starts coming out in short, rapid rasps. My knees feel useless when I try to move them but they remain rooted in a place.
Without another heart-breaking glance at them, I speed off. I begin running away from them, from the resort. I run like my life depends on it.
I don't know where I am running to. I don't care if there are more dangers ahead in the direction I am going. I just want to run. I want to escape from it all.
"Bella!"
The wind blows my name to my ears. Who is calling me? Who could it be?
"Bella, wait!"
Matt? Is he the one calling out my name? I risk some seconds to stop and turn, just to make sure it's him. Only to see him also chasing after me like I stole something from him.
"I dare you to stop there right now!" He screams at me.
Is he out of his freaking mind?
I turn to continue my race, further raising the remaining parts of my gown, just for it to give room to increasing my speed.
A car coming ahead speeds towards me, its headlights shining directly into my eyes, almost blinding me. That could have made me stop. But knowing that I don't have the courage to face what I am running away from, I continue running.
I would rather allow this car to kill me than go back to such betrayal.
My husband cheating on me with my best friend and sister, on our wedding night.
The driver, as if seeing me for the very first time, jabs his horn at me.
Unwavering at the warning, I dash head-on at his car. A second later, the force from the contact has my body flying in the air.
At that moment, I find my final peace, knowing that if I am going to die, I will die a satisfied girl. Not because I lived a happy life, but because I chose death myself.
A searing pain stretches all over me when my body lands with a thud on the floor. Death no where to be found. Just my head banging so loud and my blurry gaze seeing the shadow of the concerned driver.
"Hey, are you okay?"
The baritone of his voice alone reduces my unconsciousness.
"Bella!"
And hearing Matt's voice jolts me out of my unconsciousness completely.
"Are you hurt anywhere?" the driver persuades.
I look up at him, and seeing the way his brows are knitted in concern, I hold onto him tighter.
"Please, take me out of here." I mutter through my half parted lips.
"What?" More confusion residing on his face.
"Please, I beg you. Just take me out of here..."
