"I think I deserve better, I want to call it quits. I'm done Emily."

Emily was at work zoning out, stressed and sad. She couldn't get over the weekend, Christian had just broken up with her. She kept on reminiscing on the conversation, she still couldn't believe it. She

was supposed to get married the following month, wedding plans had been made. She kept wondering what went wrong, what she did wrong but she couldn't seem to get it. "Emily!!" , her boss yelled her name for the third time, "What is this, I don't pay you to mop around idly", the boss sighs, "There are some people at the aisle downstairs, go and attend to them and make sure you recommend the best seller wears to them. If they leave without buying anything, I don't need to talk too much." Miss Helen , Emily's boss is a single 47 year old lady, with not much in her personal life. Everyone kind of gets why she is always bitter and mean. Unfortunately, Emily works directly under her as she is the manager and Emily is a sales rep. They work at the biggest fashion house in Knightsbridge, where prominent personalities come to purchase trending wears.

Emily proceeds to go and attend to the customers, she locates them at the aisle and proceeds to start marketing. The people comprised of an elderly couple and their two young children, who were adults. A man and a lady, the man looked handsome, at least in Emily's eye, the lady was also pretty. "You must be the person Helen sent to us", Mr Charles, the elderly man said. "Ah, yes. Good afternoon, what do you have in mind to get?" , Emily replied. "I'm not really picky, you should attend to those two, they need something to wear for a business dinner this evening", Mr Charles said pointing at his two children. Ken, the young man came up to Emily, "Which of these do you suggest I choose?", he asked raising two suits , one grey and one deep blue. Emily picked the grey and said it was best, deep down she was just picking the more costly one, but she had to give reasons for suggesting it. Ken smiled and winked at her, she felt uneasy but decided to ignore it.

After Ken had tested the suit, he liked it and asked his sister Kate what she was picking. Emily went to the dress aisle and picked four gorgeous dresses for Kate to pick from, and of course they were ridiculously expensive. "These are our best sellers, but this one is a new edition and is limited in stock ", Emily said, holding out a silver coloured dressed that looked absolutely stunning and different from the rest. Kate immediately fell for the dress because she heard it was a limited edition. The price was higher than the rest of the dresses but she didn't mind. It was time for them to pay and check out, Emily's work there was done, because Mr and Mrs Charles picked their outfits themselves, so they didn't need her assistance anymore. As Emily was about to go to the convenience room to ease herself, Ken followed her. Emily was about to close

the wash room when Ken blocked the door. "Hey there, I'm sure you noticed, but I've been giving you signals, I want to talk to you, you are pretty and sexy, just the way I like it. What is your name?". Emily felt irritated by his brazenness but she had to maintain composure because this is not the first time she is encountering customers like this. " Excuse me, I have to get back to work I'm sorry". This made Ken annoyed, "You can just come with me and you won't have to work here again, you know that right? At least can I get your name and number and possibly your address so I can come pick you up. We could have a good time together and I promise to pay you well, if you know what I mean." At this point Emily was already getting impatient and irritated, she was trying to get to the emergency button on the wall of the washroom. This button reports directly to the manager to signal that something is up, every part of the store has such button for cases of emergency and troublesome customers like Ken. " I really have to go now, miss Helen would be looking for me, I'm really busy, please if you would excuse me, sorry." As she turned to leave, Ken roughly dragged her back by her neck, pinning her to the wall. Luckily for her, her hand got close to the button so she pressed it. "I could literally make you jobless do you know that. All it takes is a phone call, how dare you disrespect me, you tramp", he raises his hand to hit her, when miss Helen and two guards barged into the washroom. "What is going on here?" Helen asked, although from the atmosphere, she already had an idea of what was happening, she told Emily to go down immediately as though she was scolding her, "What do you think you are doing to the customer, do you want to loose your job, get out of here immediately and wait for me in my office, I will deal with you." Helen knew that was the only way she could handle the situation without Emily loosing her job, because Ken would be able to make that happen. Ken didn't want to seem like he was desperate or uneasy so he just went along and said it was fine.

Emily was so stressed out, it was evening hours already, almost time to go home. Work closes by 7, so she rounded up and went to her beat up 1998 Volvo V70 to head home. She got the car from her dad, before she left the house to get a career for herself. She stopped at the grocery store to buy a few items to take home for dinner. After she finally reaches the house, she checks to see if her roommate is back. She stays in a one bedroom apartment with kitchen, bathroom and living room. The house belongs to her roommate, Carly's uncle who is not in the country. Carly is not back yet so she proceeds to start making dinner. She bought more alcohol because it has been her dependant since the breakup. The next day was Sunday which means no work, she was a little relieved, so she drank to her heart's content and after making dinner, she goes to shower and get ready to sleep, only to be woken up immediately by a phone call. She checked, it was Carly, "Yes? What do you want?", Emily asks tiredly. "I hope you are awake, we are going out tonight", Carly replied. Emily knew she was not going to give up easily so she just cuts the call, knowing Carly would come back home soon. Before she could close her eyes, Carly bursted in with excitement, "wake up sleepy head, we are going to a party tonight." Emily knew it was about to be a long night........
