In the kitchen, I was preparing breakfast for today, toast and eggs.
Judy waved the cane in her hand and harshly struck my arm, "You shouldn't be slacking off! Christmas is just a few months away, and we have a lot to prepare!"
I lowered my head obediently to avoid more beatings.
"Where's Beth?" a man's voice came from the doorway, and my body tensed.
That man was my former fiancé and my first mate, Jason.
I remember, once under the silver moonlight, he stood in front of the bonfire in the forest and said to me, "Caitlin, you will be my lover, I will only love you."
But later, I was drugged by my best friend Beth and ended up in bed with a stranger, all witnessed by Jason.

I remained silence, if being treated as an omega and having my parents' pack taken away counted as kindness...
Beth looked down at me, "Now, here's your chance to repay that kindness, marry that sickly Rogue!"
"Then you won't have any thoughts about Jason anymore!"
Oh! Beth probably didn't know, after being rejected by Jason, I had no more thoughts about him. Not being trusted as a mate, I didn't want to go through that feeling again!
My wolf roared angrily within me, despite her small size, she despised all these arranged circumstances, longing for freedom and true love.

I told her.
I looked at Beth, "I agree to marry him."

Soon, that day arrived.

I sat in the dark, damp basement, waiting for that unfamiliar man.

I didn't believe it was an accident!

I gently touched the relic left by my mother, a necklace made of moonstone: "Moon Goddess, do I make a right choice?"
"Caitlyn! I think you should be ready!" Judy pushed open the iron door, allowing light to flood into my small basement room.
As I entered the hall, I finally saw the man.
Due to his disabled legs, he sat in a wheelchair, wearing a mask, but his pale lips clearly showed his weakness.
He looked sick for a long time, appearing much weaker compared to other healthy werewolves.
He was currently talking to Joseph, occasionally interrupted by coughing.
"Caitlyn?" Jason called out to me from the side, looking surprised to see me, then frowned, "So, you've given up on yourself just to marry such a wolf? He's a ROGUE!"
I frowned, sounding aloof, "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean, Jason."
"Even if you reject me and I refuse you, you shouldn't degrade yourself like this! I heard from Beth that you begged the alpha to marry him."
I couldn't help but chuckle, "Do you think I have the right to refuse? I'm the former alpha's daughter of the Sharp Fang pack. If I were to refuse the current alpha, Joseph would agree!"
Ha, did you hear that? My former mate had such a ridiculous idea, always believing Beth without giving me an ounce of trust.
With just a few words from Beth, he was convinced that I begged to marry a ROGUE.
Jason's expression turned from shock to disgust, "Beth was right, you're just a whore who can climb into different men's beds for a purpose."
