" If I were you I would put up a bit more competence if I want to keep this job!" Mrs Forks barked and headed into the kitchen. " You may just get your ass fired soon! " Her voice echoes but she is already gone.
Without saying a word, I sigh.
My week had been terrible enough for me to be paying attention to my never satisfied employer.
I wipe the pieces of cheese from the counter with my towel before folding it back into the Pocket of my apron. I raise my head up to the dinging of the bell from the counter.
" What can I get... " I swallow the rest of my sentence when I see the person standing before me with folded arms. " What's up Tim? " I asked casually without looking at him because I knew he wasn't here to buy anything.
" That's it? " He spread his arms, " what's up? "
I raise up my head and haze at him without a word.
" You're such a gloomy jawless fish. " He adds in frustration.
" That's you calling me a hag. " I replied calmly.
" That's you since Kevin... "
" I don't want to talk about Kevin... " I snapped at him quickly. " Let's not go there again! Why are you even so obsessed with Kevin? "
" I'm now the one who's obsessed with Kevin? What level of accusation is this? " He gives me a mischievous smirk.
" You know I'm on duty, right, Tim? " I asked with a scowl.
" Yep, I actually came here for eerh... I need a favor... Genna. I need to use your apartment. I told you about Kelly right? "
" Yeah, Latina crush from Yorkshire. "
" Yeah. Things are finally going great and... "
" You're not trying to bring your guest or girlfriend to my apartment, are you? "
" Come on, you know I can't face my mum right now after I screwed up the semester's exams. How the hell am I supposed to bring Kelly over? "
" Tim, " I called, shaking my brown ponytail, " don't even think about it. "
" Come on, Jane, please. She's already coming in a few hours. "
" Wrong move for you. " I turn from him. " Wrong move. "
" Don't make this hard. Please. My shift starts in a matter of hours and before yours gets over I'm already off. " He pleaded while I scribbled on my page. " You owe me one, you know. " He adds in a much calmer tone.
I drop my pen noisily on the counter and stare up at him. He returned a pleading gaze. I exhaled and my fingers dug into my pocket to pull out my key bunch.
" Awwn, now aren't you the best, bestie ever? " He said, trying to be sweet.
I maintained an expressionless face as I pulled a spare key from the rest of the bunch. I gave him the bunch while I kept the spare cause he was clumsy and would easily lose a single key
" Now we're even, aren't we? " He laughed at that.
" Well you just said that, didn't really mean it. " He winked and I shook my head.
He dashes out and I turn back to serve a new customer. Kevin and I broke up finally over an eight month old conflict; half as old as our relationship. His mother was our principal and just didn't like me for whatever reason he wasn't telling me about.
He couldn't even look her in the eye and tell her I'm his girlfriend. With me, he was one confident, proud, Mr know-it-all but he was just a coward and he sucked at it. I couldn't let him ruin the rest of my senior year more than he already did.
" Here you go. " I hand the old lady her brown enveloped sandwich. From her, I stole a casual glance at the man in black suit seated at the far corner of the dinning area and our eyes met. He had a dark pair of shades on but I could tell he was staring at me. He looked away and my eyes caught his companion who was seated away from him at another angle. And he was staring at me too. Though they both had scary black pairs of shades on and same expressionless faces I could tell that something was totally off.
After work, I came down the bus holding my dinner in the brown paper. It was strangely cold tonight. The sun was close to setting so I hastened my steps up. My phone starts buzzing in the side pocket of the knee-length pale yellow gown I wore. I pulled out my phone to see it was the sixth unanswered call from Kevin since morning.
I frowned and pushed it back into my pocket as I climbed the steps to my front door. Sliding the key halfway into the lock, I turned back around to observe the black Peugeot parked before the fence. It was a little odd. Such an expensive looking car in this neighborhood. I opened the door to the short corridor that led to the bedroom. I thought I heard a sound so I paused to listen.
There came another thud. I pull the curtain open to see Tim sitting halfway across the bed with Kelly lying with her head resting on his chest. I didn't know what they were watching from Tim's phone but it must be funny cause they were both cackling when I bursted in.
" Tim? " I yelled as they both sprang up in shock.
" Jane! What the hell? "
" Who's this? " The blond haired girl yelled, turning from me to Tim. " Tim, who's this and what's she doing in your house? "
Your house? I wondered.
" Kelly, look.. " He started pleading.
" What? " Kelly yelled. " What do you call this? "
" Kelly, let me explain, it's not... what you think! " He stammered and I got somewhat concerned about how he was going to pull his frail self from whatever trouble he just got in. " Oh! I'm outta here! I hate you, Tim! " She grabbed her purse and her shoes and headed out.
" Kelly, wait! " He ran after her, almost knocking me down. How was I supposed to know he'd still be here with her?

For as long as Emily can remember, she has wanted to overcome her shyness and explore her sexuality. Still, everything changes when she receives an invitation to visit one of the town's most prestigious BDSM clubs, DESIRE'S DEN. On the day she chose to peruse the club, she noticed three men, all dressed in suits, standing on the upper level, near the railing. Despite her limited vision, she persisted in fixating on them. Their towering statues belied the toned bodies concealed by their sharply tailored suits-or so she could tell. The hair of two of them was short and dark, and the third had light brown-possibly blond-hair that reached the shoulders. The dark, crimson background incised their figures, exuding an air of mystery and strength. They stood in stark contrast to the unfiltered, primal energy that pulsed through the club. Shocked by the desires these men aroused in her, she was disappointed to learn that they were masters seeking a slave to divide and conquer. She couldn't afford the fee, and she also realized that they were outside her league. A mysterious stranger with white porcelain skin and a killer body, a slave, a name with no address, the first lady to attract their eye and they will go to any length to obtain her no matter the consequences.
