~ The blue moon pack ~
The chauffeur opened the door of the car for Ariel who was sitting comfortably at the back. She stepped down and walked to the mansion with her head held high. It has been five good years since she had left the blue moon pack to further her education and learn different cultures. Some omegas in the corridor offered her a bow which she nodded to.
Ariel reached the living room and was received by a modest welcome from her family.
Her parents, Alpha Damon and Luna Irene were situated in the living room waiting for their daughter. She was the only child of her parents and she was going to be the next female alpha hopefully alongside her future mate
Alpha Damon gave Ariel a tight hug which she had barely expected. He held her shoulders observing her face. An approving smile crept on his face.
It wasn't common for her to receive a hug plus an additional smile from her father. He was a strict man with absolute exacting rules. She gave him a little smile.
"Welcome Ariel. I have things to do but I will leave you to your mother, ok."
"Ok Alpha" Ariel said and gave him a little bow as the Alpha strode out of their presence.
"Ariel, go in and have your shower. You must be hungry too, your food will be served when you're done. Also there will be a party to welcome you in the evening. We know you are tired from your trip but these are all formalities...."
"Mother it's okay, it's fine" Ariel was tired of the ceaseless babble from her mother. She was well aware of the never ending schedules. One of the many things she hadn't missed about the pack.
"Uhm I would be going to shower, can you please tell the maid to send the food upstairs??"
"Okay I will. Don't forget about the party. I will call you when the time clocks eight sharp, please be ready."
Ariel responded with a tight smile and went to her room.
Everything was how she left it. The room was dominated by blinding colors of blue which was her favorite color. A queen-size bed was placed with a side cabinet. They were additional furniture that matched with the blue color of the room, two doors led to an extra large walk-in closet with a bathroom. The room was befitting for someone like her "An Alpha's daughter".
She had many thoughts in her mind. One was how her freedom was going to be minimized in the blue moon pack. Being the daughter of one of the richest Alpha in America she was subjected to a lot of luxuries and she had many people to suck up to her because of her status but this lifestyle was quite overbearing. She was used to her freedom but here she needs to behave ladylike as the daughter of the Alpha.
She sighed, if she had the opportunity she would have preferred to just stay over there but she knew that was close to impossible.
After taking her shower, as requested, her food was waiting for her on the table close to her sofa. An egg salad lettuce wrap with a steaming cup of tea.
She munched on the wrap and replayed her current situation in her head non-stop.

Ariel's welcome party started at nine pm.
She had dressed in a way that was fashionable but simple. It was necessary for her to stand out. The Luna had sent for her through the mind link which she had totally forgotten about. She took a deep breath and strode towards the corridor, she was already fifteen minutes late.
Melodious sounds could be heard coming from the huge hall. It was clear evidence of Ariel's welcome party.
She had faint memories of the people around, for it was far too long she had seen them.
Just as she imagined the hall screamed of magnificence and elegance. Ladies in beautiful gowns adorned with shiny jewels. Somehow she looked more simple compared to the guests.
The people around noticed her presence and Ariel could feel the gazes fixated on her, that oddly felt a bit uncomfortable.
An acknowledging announcement was made to make her presence known as she strode close to where
her both parents were seated.
As the next Alpha, different people came up to her to introduce themselves. She had a fake tight smile plastered on her face as she tried to be formal. She wished she had someone who could stick up for her and shoo all this people away.
The mood in the party wasn't bad. It was something enjoyable for normal guests if they weren't the center of attention like Ariel.
She was tired of the incessant formalities, they all contributed massively to bore her. It was up to an hour and all she did was shook hands with unknown people and her parents introducing the more important ones to her. She wondered how her parents coped with such.
Ariel placed her hands on her chin, she was tired and was obviously jet-lagged, she wished she could just excuse herself and go catch some sleep.
Ariel was wallowing in her sorrows, when she inhaled an intoxicating scent lingering in the air. The scent stirred her wolf, she could feel its anxiousness. The scent was a bit faint and she had a strange urge to trace it. After inhaling a deep breath channeling all her senses on the scent. After guessing the direction of the sweet smell, she stood up ready to follow it. She was over ecstatic by the need to follow the intriguing scent.
"Where are you going?" Her father asked when he saw Ariel had stood up
"I will be back, I- I uhm need to use the restroom". She stuttered a white harmless lie.
She walked out of the hall stepping outside. The scent became stronger with every step she took. As there was a party going on, the outside of the hall was almost empty, with few people loitering outside, mostly the omegas or guards.
She made a few turns here and there and then she finally saw it, the source of the overwhelming scent. It was a man, who seems to be walking in her direction
Ariel mint green eyes locked with mesmerizing blue eyes. Her body momentarily came to a halt, her eyes focused on every inch of the man. It felt like nothing else mattered anymore other than the man.
She was walking with her whole attention focused on him, that she didn't notice she was too close and about to bump on him. Their bodies collided with each other and she felt a tingling spark all over her body at their connection. It was a foreign feeling to her and it made her wolf stir in joy.
"Mate," Ariel had her wolf say, it voiced laced with utmost excitement.

Tell me, this appetite of yours, does it always tend toward 'creepy bastards'?" **** Widower and ex-boss to the Mafia, Zefiro Della Rocca, has an unhealthy fixation on the woman nextdoor. It began as a coincidence, growing into mere curiosity, and soon, it was an itch he couldn't ignore, like a quick fix of crack for an addict. He didn't know her name, but he knew every inch of her skin, how it flushed when she climaxed, her favourite novel and that every night she contemplated suicide. He didn't want to care, despising his rapt fascination of the woman. She was in love with her abusive husband. She was married, bound by a contract to the Bratva's hitman. She was off-limits. But when Zefiro wanted something, it was with an intensity that bordered on madness. He obsessed, possessed, owned. There'd be bloodshed if he touched her, but the sight of blood always did fascinate him. * When Susanna flees from her husband, she stumbles right into the arms of her devilishly handsome neighbour with a brooding glare. He couldn't stand her, but she needed him, if she was ever going to escape her husband who now wanted her dead. Better the devil you know than the angel you don't. She should have recalled that before hopping into Zefiro's car and letting him whisk her away to Italy. Maybe then, she wouldn't have started an affair with him. He was the only man who touched her right, and the crazy man took no small pains in ensuring he would be the last.
