Scarlett got out of the shower and dabbed her hair with a towel. In a slow pace, she put on her pajamas as she sat in front of her mirror to get herself ready to go to bed.
Just then, her phone beeped signaling a message notification. She tapped on her phone to steal a peep at the details of the text, as she already concluded in her mind that it wasn't something important, just like her life.
A peep turned into a furious look as her face burned red like brimstone. She grabbed her phone in a flash, her eyes piercing deeply into the phone screen almost popping out of its socket.
"That bastard!!!" Scarlett roared, as she got to her feet. Without a second thought, she dialed the sender's number numerous times but got no answer which made her anger escalate.
"That good for nothing prick!!" Those words tumbled out of her mouth as she immediately grabbed her car keys and rushed out. She was heading straight to the Red and Blue Pub.
A few minutes later, Scarlett arrived and rushed in. She was looking around desperately like a new mother that had just lost her baby. She ferociously barged into the VIP hall and hurried past a man who was on his way to the VVIP room. She was blinded by anger and focused on scanning the area for any sign of the bastard. She was ready to feast on him the moment she found him.
Unknown to her, Derek, whose path she had just crossed, chuckled at the sight of her. It wasn't his first time in a club, but it was his first time seeing a lady dressed in pajamas in a club. Derek had never taken any interest in a lady but he couldn't stop staring at Scarlett. He couldn't tell if it was because of her weird appearance or if there was something more.
With rage, Scarlett opened the doors of the VIP private room one after the other searching for him until she found the right room. Her hard pounding heart almost exploded from anger as she witnessed the scene in front of her.
"Let's party, everyone. Let's go for a second ride, drinks on me!!!" The voice declared and it was followed by loud screams and cheers from the people in the room.
"Second ride my ass!!" Scarlett thundered with all her strength. The whole room dropped dead silent as everyone had a perplexed look on their face at the sight of Scarlett.
She strode her way towards the guy and before he knew it, she had pasted her hand prints on his face twice.
"How dare you slap me?" Martinez barked, as he held his cheeks.
"Fuck you! Who the hell do you think you are? I don't mind you partying your life out, with whoever you want to. But you had the guts to take pictures of you both kissing and send it to me?" Scarlett voiced, her fingers pointing at the lady beside him.
"What are you talking about? What do you mean I sent-"
"What the hell is this?" Scarlett shoved her phone in his face, as she showed him the message he had sent her. From the caption on the photo, the message had been sent to her by mistake, as it had a guy's name on it. They must have had a bet and he had snapped the photo to send to him as proof that he had won but he sent it to Scarlett instead.
"Fuck!!!" Martinez muttered as he grabbed his phone to confirm it. "That message wasn't for you. I was going to send it to Lamuel but-"
"Who cares who the hell you wanted to send it to?" She cut him. "I'm mad because you had the guts to use my credit card to ride this disgusting party of yours, my hard earned money." Scarlett screamed as she sent the glasses and drinks on the table crashing to the ground.
In an instant, Scarlett glanced down at herself. She just realized she had stormed in there dressed in pajamas. Her cheeks flushed from embarrassment as everyone in the room burst into laughter while mockingly pointing at her.
Scarlett clenched her fist as she tried to fight her emotions. She wasn't going to let them belittle her.
"Do you know who I am?" Scarlett shot at her and. Then placed both hands on her waist.
"What?" Martinez's lover blurted out as the whole room became quiet.
Scarlett climbed on the table in an elegant manner. "I am Scarlett Fernando, got a problem?" She announced her name like it held any relevance.
"Scarlett, there's no need for all this. You're embarrassing me." Martinez's words were slurred as he tried to pull her down from the table.
"Don't you dare touch me." Scarlett said coldly as she sent his hand flying. "I'm not your girlfriend. We were only getting to know ourselves and you just proved me right after all. You both deserve each other."
"Then why are you doing all this? Barging in here looking like this and stirring everyone up? Do you perhaps have feelings for me?" Martinez tried to change the story to his favor.
Scarlett cracked out laughing hysterically. "What? Feelings? For who? You?" She pointed at him. "Oh please in your dreams." She rolled her eyes.
"If that's the case then why are you here? You should have acted unaffected just like you always did. You were so numb you hardly even showed your feelings. That's why you've never experienced what it means to love or be loved. That's because you have no love in you either. Doing this now only makes you look pathetic."
Scarlett gasped at his words. Martinez without wasting a second rushed to his suit pocket to get the card but stopped as his face turned pale and he broke into cold sweat.
"What the hell are you waiting for? Hand the card over." Scarlett scolded. Her hands stretched out, waiting to get the card.
"Shit. I.. I don't know how it happened but the card is broken. So just take it and get out of here." Martinez clearly was not remorseful.
"My card is what?" Scarlett couldn't believe her ears and eyes. She got down from the table and retrieved her card from his hands. It was broken in half.
"I don't know how it happened but..." His voice trailed off as his eyes met with Scarlett's. "Scarlett calm down. It's just a mistake. You're overreacting. It's just a card." Martinez spoke but with a less concerned look on his face.
"Did you just say, overreacting? You don't even have the decency to feel remorse. But you crossed the line when you felt you could use me to polish yourself. And you called it what? Overreacting? Well this is the main definition of overreacting." She grabbed a glass of wine, poured it on the lady's face and smashed the glass on Martinez's head.
Immediately after that, screams rented the whole room. Martinez was bleeding. The lady called for the guards as she became frightened of Scarlett's rage. Just then, two men hurried in and Derek, who had been observing the scene unfolding before him with serious and careful examination, took steps forward too.

"And yet you don't want me," I replied. "You told me you were ashamed of me, that l'd never be your queen, that you'd never love me. So please, accept my rejection and let me go." "Never," he whispered, his grip tightening as he pulled me closer. "Soon enough, you'll be begging for me. and when you do-I'll use you as I see fit and then I'll reject you."
