The runt of the pack is Nadia. Runts are protected and cared for in the majority of packs. However, this wasn't the case for Nadia. She had more scars than she wanted, and everyone in her pack hated her, even going so far as to beat her. All for being born basically. Her parents left the pack and haven't been heard from, which has made the situation worse. In the midst of all of this, Nadia discovers her soulmate-someone she never would have imagined. Introducing the Blood Moon pack's most vicious Alpha, Hudson. Since he has recruited more Alphas to join his pack and dominated more packs in his territory than any other, he is feared by everyone. The pack that everyone knew not to step foot into. Hudson's only rule he stood by was to never disrespect a woman, a rule his beloved mother told him to live by. He finds his mate in the midst of all his strength and ferocity, but what will he do when he discovers that his pack has violated his holy law regarding his mate?
Nadia's Pov
Dragging the marker down in a horizontal line I backed up to stare at the wall. Two thousand one hundred, ninety days. It was almost exactly six years since my parents had been gone, more like left me. I have no idea why I mark the days maybe I hope one day they'll come back. Being only twelve it was an instinct to want your parents only now I didn't, I was almost eighteen soon I could leave the pack for good.
I never knew why they left except for the obvious; me being a runt but, that was still no reason to abandon your child. Especially to people even worse, this pack. Every day there was a new surprise waiting for me whether it was from embarrassment or beatings. The latter was their first choice trust me it was far from a surprise at this point. No matter who they were, someone would start the beating and another would surely finish it.
The only person in this whole pack who didn't beat me was the alpha he didn't know anything. At this point, I don't think he'd care that much considering our ranks. Every time it happened; I never knew what to do so I just let it be. Besides I was far too weak to stop them let alone fight back. My wolf has been gone for ages now I missed her, Mia, so much
One day a couple of boys from the pack lost their football game at school. Long story short, I was used as a punching bag for their anger. That day I thought I'd die for sure. It was the last time I talked to Mia; she saved me.
"Nadia get the hell up one of the guy's spilled milks all over the kitchen floor." a girl shouted while hitting my door.
In the pack house, I was their servant, definitely something I couldn't object to thanks to the pack members. Times like those were the worst since I had to be outside of my room. Which was a fairly small room, big enough to fit a bed, a dresser, and one room connected to the bathroom. Although it wasn't much, I was more than grateful for what I had. Even if I got handed a shitty deal in life, I still had a secure place to hide from it.
Moving quickly, I got dressed in a black long sleeve to hide the scars on my wrists. The pack has caused lots of damage to my body, some were all me. When you get tortured every day and on top of that have the thought of your parents leaving you. It breaks you bit by bit until there's nothing left, some people just aren't strong enough. I'm surely not.
As I made my way to the kitchen, I saw the group of guys sitting at the counter who I hated the most. Without saying anything I opened the cupboards under the sink to get the paper towels.
"Look it's the runt." I heard one of the guys say, this made me grab the rubber bracelet, slapping my wrist with it.
When I was distracted by the pain of the bracelet it helped block out what people were saying. Of course, it was a distraction, my cuts were very much fresh making it ten times worse. After I cleaned the milk off the floor behind the counter I got up.
As I did the first thing one of the guys did was knock over a cup spilling what it contained, "Oops, mind cleaning that up for me Nadia?" Logan asked, with a smirk while his friends laughed.
Logan, Steven, Chester, and Jameson were my main tormentors. They lived to make my life a living hell since my parents left. It didn't help that they were all in higher power. Logan the Beta, Steven the Omega, and Chester and Jameson shared the title of Gamma. These were the boys that almost killed me and I despised them yet I couldn't help but, fear them.
"Yes," I said, letting out a breath as I bent down with fresh paper towels, cleaning it up.
All of a sudden, a terrible pain shot through my nose, it was bleeding. Falling back and holding it instinctively I looked up to see Steven.
"Sorry about that I didn't see you," he replied nonchalantly, with a shrug to his shoulders.
"Fuck bro look how much she bleeds." Chester laughed, while Jameson agreed.
Without knowing what to do I stood up as my hands cupped under my nose, making sure the blood landed on my palms.
"Ew, she's getting blood on the floor." Donna, Logan's mate laughed with her friend Sara while they both came in.
"That's so gross," Sarah spoke, with a disgusted voice.
It was as if I froze to my spot and I so desperately wanted the world to open up swallowing me whole. Everyone was laughing now while I stood there stupidly. How could I have been so stupid to not check the kitchen before coming in? This was my fault.
Suddenly I felt a strong presence behind me as the laughter died down. Turning around slowly I bumped into someone that made me freeze once again.
It was alpha Hudson, the one who had yet to know his pack was as foul as him. Once our eyes met, he noticed my nose and then looked around at everyone before connecting his eyes with me again.
"I-I'm s-sorry." I managed to say quietly before going around him walking fast to the bathroom.
That was thankfully far from the kitchen, turning on the faucet I cleaned my nose up. After I looked into the mirror, I found someone I didn't recognize. Black hair, green eyes, and a pale complexion. When I saw myself, I never thought of myself as pretty, the pack surely made that clear.
With a sigh, I opened the bathroom door only to be pushed back in by none other than Logan. The worst of the four guys and my biggest tormentor.
"You're such a fuck up, you almost got us caught by the Alpha with spilling your filthy blood on the floors." he spat angrily while shutting the door and walking over to me.
I felt tears come to my eyes already knowing what he was going to do. As soon as he was right in front of me, I could see the hatred and disgust clear on his face. The beta never beat me he did something much, much worse.
A whimper escaped my lips as he grabbed my throat squeezing impossibly tight, cutting off air immediately. Every day if he saw me, he would do this until I was on my last breath. If he was angry, he'd do it twice maybe three times, on a good day he'd do it once. Today I think he'll do three so I braced myself for what was to come.
The pain of losing your breath, let alone being restricted from getting any is the worst possible thing anyone could go through. While this is happening, I usually shut my eyes to count in my head. To think about something other than the fact that I was dying. Other times I'd dig my hands into my wrist knowing there was a fresh wound to distract myself with.
After what seemed like forever, he let go making me fall to the floor, gasping for air. I opened my eyes, and my vision blurred. I made sure to even out my breathing before taking big breaths. When he would take a minute break, I'd learn how to use that as time to gain my breath in case he did it again.
I heard his footsteps and then felt my head pulled back by my hair, a yelp escaping my lips, "You caught me on a good day because you and I both know I could do way worse so next time be more careful." he whispered, in my ear deadly while he let go roughly and walked out of the bathroom.
Soon after I caught my breath before slowly standing up to look at myself. To say the least, I hated what I saw, the print of his hands was still there on my neck faintly. While my face had red blotches, my color slowly came back. I threw some water on my face before I ran my hands through my hair.
This place would certainly be the absolute death of me, Nadia Anderson.

Elodie took a deep breath and knocked, the sound echoing in the quiet corridor. A moment of silence passed, broken only by the pounding of her heart. Finally, the door snicked open, revealing a surprised Dashiell. 'Can't you see the Do Not Disturb sign? We don't want-' His initial frown quickly morphed into confusion at the sight of his wife. 'What are you doing here?' he demanded. 'Your girlfriend invited me,' Elodie replied, her voice laced with icy calm. She tried to peer past him, but his broad frame blocked the view. A saccharine voice chimed in from within the room. 'Elodie? Oh dear, we didn't mean for you to find out this way. It's just that-' Elodie cut her short. 'Oh please, Selene. Spare me the fake apologies. You wouldn't have sent me all those texts if you didn't want me to know.' Dashiell shifted uncomfortably, his face a mask of annoyance. 'What texts?' Elodie stepped past him, taking in the luxurious suite with a sardonic smile.
