Lewis, who was my right-hand man, finally spoke, scratching his forehead for God knows why. "But, sir, she doesn't have any educational qualifications in-" I cut him off, sounding as firm as I could "I don't care about that right now, Lewis. I need someone to take care of things around here, and I need her now! Are you trying to disobey my order?" Lewis swallowed hard. "No, sir, of course not. I just want to make sure we're making the right decision." My eyes flashed with impatience. "The decision is made, Lewis. Invite her tomorrow". "Okay, sir," He replied and was about to leave. "One more thing" He turned back to face me. "Yes sir". "You still have all the rules and regulations outlined, right?" "Yes sir" "And the contract file intact?" "Yes sir" ๐˜ž๐˜ฆ๐˜ญ๐˜ญ, ๐˜บ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ ๐˜ฅ๐˜ข๐˜ณ๐˜ฆ ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฐ๐˜ต ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ฑ๐˜ญ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ฆ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ข๐˜ต. "Alright, Sophia will handle her when she comes tomorrow," I said, "Ask her to see me in my office now". I concluded, asking him out by waving my hands in the air. Within a few minutes, I was face to face with Sophia. "I'm sure Lewis has done a little briefing on what to do concerning tomorrow, right? "Yes sir" "Excellent, just one thing though" I gestured for her to move closer. And she did. Then I said in almost a whisper, stressing the last part, "Make sure she signs the contract; very, very important." Louis was at the time of his life when he was desperate for somebody who could help him overcome his nightmare. All these years, he struggled with a curse he thought was caused by the moon goddess, which turns him into an uncontrollable beast at full moons. His bother, Amber, disrespected him for this and even turned his mate, Annie, against him. Out of rage, he left his birthright as the next-in-line alpha to his brother in their werewolf pack to live in the human world, thinking he could outrun his misery. But alas! He barely survived during full moons and therefore started his search for a capable hand, someone, who could help him during those periods of his transformations, to keep his secret hidden from others. Especially a woman, he could lose his body in her warmth to free himself from the tension that had been building up in him. It sounds crazy, but that was like his antidote. He settled for a 23-year-old hybrid, Isha, who was unaware of her identity out of desperation. But this decision soon turns into something more. She soon learns of her boss's secret; he was cursed to turn into a beast on full moons. Unknown to her, she was destined to break the curse on the night that she was claimed as well as discover her true nature. Soon, his brother, Amber, joins forces with dark powers to take hold of the great powers Isha possesses as a hybrid. Will he discover the true reason behind his curse? Will Louis be able to protect the woman he loves from the dark forces or will his decision tear them apart? Dive into this intriguing novel, let's go on an exciting adventure to find these out.

Chapter 1 I need someone!

LOUIS P. O. V

I rose to my feet, with a beastly anger, "What nonsense!" I scowled, clenching my fist so hard that the glass cup in my hand cracked. "Is this what I came here to hear? This trash!" I added, breaking the glass, as I slammed it violently on the table.

The man speaking initially, whose speech got on my nerves, took a step backwards and said shakily, "I'm sorry, sir. But this project has already been approved by you before now. Our conveying today was just to execute it, sir".

I stood there, still glaring at him, my anger unwavering, because the beast in me was gradually taking control of my mind, making me appear like a monster before them.

I was supposed to calm down and reason with them, seeing it was a mistake on my part. But instead, I banged the table violently with gritted teeth, "Don't you dare, drag me into this! You" I turned pointing at all the executives seated around the conference table, "And all of you, should do your work well!"

I left the murmur of my executives behind, as I stepped out of the conference room. The meeting was certainly not a success, because I was a mess. Every single thing got on my nerves.

I guess they sensed it, hence the murmur. I could read their minds, "The smart and calculative CEO just sat there complaining, like a mindless idiot!". But I wasn't bothered one bit. How I wish that was all I had to worry about. But there was something more demanding on my mind.

As I walked back to my office, my senses were extraordinarily on high alert. I could hear the faintest scent and noise, even the heartbeat of everyone blared in my ears so loudly. It was clear, I was losing control of my mind.

My thoughts turned to the upcoming event, the one that would require me to retreat from the world and surrender to the beast within. It was only a matter of days now.

By the way, I'm Louis. Louis Douglas. A very wealthy and successful man. This is not me bragging, it's just fact. I'm the CEO of Luna Enterprises, one of the top five thriving companies in the country. I'm also a werewolf. Yes, I'm a werewolf from the blood moon pack. I left my birthright as the next-in-line alpha to my brother, Amber.

Don't be mistaken, I didn't leave my birthright to him willingly. It was out of annoyance. The idiot was over-pampered by my parents and grew up believing he deserved everything good I had.

Now to the most important part, I'm struggling with a curse. I was cursed by the moon goddess to turn into an uncontrollable beast on full moons.

I was the cursed child of my parents. The one that always took sleep from their eyes. My beastly transformations always put my pack in great danger as my destructions were like that of a hurricane.

I've fought so hard for years to break the curse but nothing seems to be working. I left my territory and my birthright because of the shame and, of course, the insults from my brother, to live here in the human world, thinking I could escape it. But it only grew worse with each full moon.

My only antidote all these years was ancient rituals and mystical artifacts to weaken the curse's hold and the welcoming warmth of a woman's thighs to calm the beast within.

That's why I need someone. Someone efficient, discreet, and unobstructive. Someone who would help manage my schedule and my habits to keep me prepared while I indulged. Someone whose body was going to be a welcoming respite from the claws of the beast.

I entered my office, shutting the door behind me. I walked over to the window, gazing out at the city view below. I could feel it. The moon was already calling me, its pull growing stronger with each passing day.

I could feel the weight of my secrets bearing down on me, the strain of living a double life. I needed someone to help me carry that weight, someone who wouldn't ask questions or pry into my affairs. Just a quiet, competent presence to keep my world running smoothly while I dealt with...other matters.

Knock knock!

I turned and saw Lewis, whom I will call my right-hand man, peeping through the slightly open door, perhaps checking if I was in. Certain of my presence, he walked into the office.

"You asked for me, sir," He said, with a slight bow, tucking his hands backward to look composed, I guess.

I'm becoming too forgetful these days. I make decisions, sign contracts, attend conferences and business meetings with people, and within a few minutes, I forget that I ever met those people.

But, why did I call this guy?

"Uhm....I will call you later when I need you," I blurted out, not wanting him to realize that I'd forgotten already.

"Okay, sir" He replied, turning to leave.

Something instantly crossed my mind. I halted him. "Hey, that reminds me, what about the job posting? Any news for me?".

"Yes sir, we've already strictly interviewed all the job applicants, but none seems quite....fit". He said with such confidence that it made me angry.

"But, sir..." He continued. I quickly threw my head up, full of hope. There is something more?

"There's just one person left who hasn't been interviewed yet. And that's because she doesn't have any educational qualifications for the position". He said, matter of factly.

I rubbed my forehead vigorously, thinking of what to say. I had no time, I need to make a decision and fast too. I mean, I can't let this opportunity slip away because of some damn educational qualification.

"Invite her in, let's give her the job" I replied. I looked up at him when I noticed that he did not respond. The guy looked so shocked. His expression was like "Is this really my boss!?"

I'm a very business-minded man with a sharp mind and quick wit. Over the years, I've built a reputation for being ruthless and calculating. I mean, I can't work with slow and steady employees who do not know the work at hand. But right now, what I was looking for was beyond office duties.

Lewis finally spoke, scratching his forehead for God knows why. "But, sir, she doesn't have any educational qualifications in-"

I cut him off, sounding as firm as I could "I don't care about that right now, Lewis. I need someone to take care of things around here, and I need her now. Are you trying to disobey my order?" I growled, like a possessed bull.

Lewis eyes widened in shock. He swallowed hard, "No, sir, of course not. I just want to make sure we're making the right decision."

My eyes flashed with impatience. "The decision is made, Lewis. Invite her tomorrow".

"Okay, sir," He replied and was about to leave.

"One more thing"

He turned back to face me. "Yes, sir".

" You still have all the rules and regulations outlined, right?"

"Yes sir"

"And the contract file intact?"

"Yes sir"

"Alright, Sophia will handle her when she comes tomorrow," I said, "Ask her to see me in my office now". I concluded, asking him out by waving my hands in the air.

Within a few minutes, I was face to face with Sophia.

"I'm sure Lewis has done a little briefing on what to do concerning tomorrow, right?

"Yes sir"

"Excellent, just one more thing"

I gestured for her to move closer. And she did.

Then I said in almost a whisper, stressing the last part, "Make sure she signs the contract; very, very important."
