Thailand, inside a Bangkok city, a young man almost 21 years with an American face was lying on his bed, exhausted, his room was full of spider webs. It was a small room.
The small room is cramped and bare, its walls chipped and stained, bearing the marks of time and struggle. A single, creaky bed takes up most of the space, with a thin, worn mattress barely covering the frame. The floor is uneven, covered with patches of old linoleum that have curled at the edges. A rickety wooden chair sits in the corner, its paint peeling, and a small table is cluttered with forgotten belongings. A single dim bulb hangs from the ceiling, casting long shadows in the corners. The air smells faintly of damp and neglect, a stark reminder of the poverty that fills the space.
This shows how poor the man is. The young man is called Davis but they usually call him Dav.
He rolled his hands behind his head making his head comfortable like laying himself with a pillow .
It was dark, how tough was the day for a jobless young man like him in a foreign country. It's too tough to survive.
He couldn't sleep yet, he wondered how he could survive in that city.
He just remembered that he applied in one of the coffee companies in Thailand, where he closed his eyes hoping for an interview tomorrow.
Davis has been in Thailand for some years, he came to Thailand at a young age. He got a rich father back then owning one of the companies in Thailand, unlucky him he was not yet introduced to the company. He doesn't know the company either.
Something happened to his family, he lost his mother in a car accident.
From that point his father changed, he disappeared from nowhere. Davis was 10 years old and started surviving in the city alone. How tough he had been since then.
He was caught up with sleep and he slept.
A young, handsome face rested in peaceful sleep, his sharp features softened by exhaustion. His skin is slightly pale, the result of hunger, with faint shadows beneath his eyes. His cheeks are a bit hollow, showing the signs of not having eaten for some time, yet his expression is serene, untouched by the harshness of his circumstances. There's a quiet resilience in the way his lips part, as though dreaming of something better.
"It's raining, I'd rather wash my body here. It will balance my water bills "Davis thought as he walked on a road, at some point he saw a briefcase and he moved towards it.
He opened the briefcase. His face grew up with a smile after seeing notes wrapped in and well arranged in the briefcase.
Davis came out from the dream, his roof was leaking. The roof was wet alway night making his dream as if he was under the rain.
His room was rough, his few clothes were on the floor and few were on the rope that he tied inside his room, the clothes hung there.
He walked quickly to the floor and collected his clothes. He was familiar with the action.
His roof had been leaking some few years back, his poor roof couldn't withstand all the weather.
He moved to the rope and took out his hanging clothes somewhere in the room where it does not leak.
He then sat on his exhausted bed with a sigh.
Last night he didn't eat anything, this could be another problem.
As he was seated he just remembered that he had to move for an interview.
He picked his clothes and started choosing which one would suit him, at least he couldn't not be seen as that poor man while he will on interview.
He just picked a black shirt and a brown trouser.
"This would fit "He thought as observing his trouser.
Just a young man with a cute face and sharp eyes and nothing more, a young poor man.
"I have to do some push ups but I haven't taken anything last night, let it pass "He thought.
He usually does some push ups every morning, making his body with some muscles on his chest and abs on his stomach.
Today he couldn't do any push ups, he had to save his energy.
He moved to the shower and got himself cool, and soon he put on his clothes.
He took his small mirror and observed himself, a warm smile on his face then he was satisfied with his looking.
He moved out from his room,
The apartment was too long without an elevator. The cheap ones were at the top and often leaked due to the roof having some creaks.
Now he had to take a long move downstairs. He met wife , an old man but he was not interested.
After a few steps he stopped and returned to the old woman. He just assisted her to move downstairs.
"How come an old woman lives here up"He thought while taking the hand of the old woman on his shoulders and his hand wrapped around her shoulder.
"I wish you too have a long and pretty happy day "The old woman said to him, her words were nothing in front of a hungry man like him.
He didn't answer anything.
Soon they were down, he took his hands away from the oldest woman and walked away, but he stopped after a voice of a lady calling his name.
"Dav "
She was a young woman, her appearance of a poor lady made her beautiful face not be seen, her name is Sofia.
The lady moved her steps very quickly to not waste a second of Davis.
"I didn't see you last night, I was a bit worried "She blushed, she tried to care for him.
"I had to sleep early. I need to move somewhere and don't ask me where "He was aware that a lady will flood a lot of questions and he was not ready for it.
"I also have no time," he added.
"Wish you a good day then "The lady said with a sigh accompanied by a warm smile.
Davis turned his back to her without saying anything.
"This man is rude, he can't even talk with a lady "She thought as her eyes escorted his moves.
He moved to the road and stood waiting for the public transport.
Soon the bus arrives, the Thailand buses are opened from the back, he moves in.
It was a bit crowded, people were seated from each other's side and he had to stand up, beside him was a lady standing. His armpit was just on the eyes level of her.
The lady felt the smell from him and she had to turn to the other side, he noticed that but he ignored it.
Soon he arrived at a certain point and he landed off, the lady from the bus landed off also,
"Few steps from here," he thought with a sigh.
The lady watched him with side eyebrows but as Davis realised it, she shifted her eyes so quickly.
They both walked the same way without any talk, he wasn't interested either.
Soon he saw the company, he looked at it for some time and shifted his eyes away and he saw a coffee shop.
A small coffin shop, they sell coffee of the company where Davis was heading.
"At least I should know their test, it will add something during the interview "He thought as he was heading towards a small shop.
He moved his hand to his pocket and took some few coins,
"It will be my breakfast "He thought as heading to the coffee shop.
"One cup "He said as he was observing the small shop.
He hands over the coins, "It is not enough "The shop seller said.
"Lucky you I got an interview, I don't spend that much on something that doesn't make my stomach full "He thought as he moved his hand out of his pocket and removed a note and handed it over to the shopkeeper.
He took a cup of coffee, the vapour from the cup of coffee . It was too hot, so he couldn't drink it.
He looked at the shop seller and said,"It's too hot, I have to move with this in. I will return your cup when I'm out "
The shop seller just nodded, at the moment an expensive car arrived.
The lady also moved and bought coffee too.
Davis entered the gate, a young beautiful woman moved out from the expensive car. She wore a short red dress with a black glasses.
Two bodyguards followed her.
Her higher heels made her moves more gorgeous, Davis stared at her for a while, "Let me not develop some stupid thoughts. I can't have her "He thought with a warm smile.
He turned, as he took a step he stumbled the cup fell down. It was a porcelain glass. The glass broke.
"I lost my expensive meal "He thought with a sigh.
The lady from the expensive car, her name is Fiona. She turned to the side of where the cup was broken.
Davis looked around if someone was looking for him, his eyes met with Fiona.
They stared at each other for a few seconds and Davis shifted his eyes.
"She is the CEO of this company. You are new here. I think you came for an interview. You will face her there. You had an unlucky day. You may break more things when you are working " A demanding voice was heard from behind him.
He turned, she was a lady who made it together in the bus.
Her name is Diana.
"I have a special talent. I'm always lucky " Davis replied with a dry face and turned in front.
"She is more rude than her sister, you will face her soon" Diana added.
"He is new here "Fiona thought and she took her eyes off him.
Davis moved in and moved to the interview center, where he found others waiting for an interview. It was a short que, like 20 people were there.
He sat on the aluminum bench to wait for his turn.
"My name is Rahim "A voice was heard beside him.
"I'm Davis "He replied, he didn't even turn his face to him,his hungry stomach made him have zero attention towards anyone.
The man just recently came after him.
Time passed on, it was his turn.
He moved in, he took a deep inhale as stepped in.
He pointed his eyes to the interviewer, the lady was there.
"We met before, right? "Fiona said
