Chapter 1 Episode 1

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window, their sweet melodies filling the air. I stretched, feeling the warmth of the sun peeking through the curtains. It was going to be a beautiful day. I swung my legs over the side of the bed and planted my feet firmly on the ground, feeling the softness of the plush carpet.

As I stood up, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My hair was a tangled mess, and my eyes were still heavy with sleep. I smiled, knowing that a hot shower and a cup of coffee would fix me right up.I padded out of my bedroom and into the kitchen, where the aroma of freshly brewed coffee greeted me. My grandmother had always said that the key to a happy life was a good cup of coffee in the morning. I poured myself a cup and stepped out onto the porch, taking a deep breath of the crisp morning air.The world was quiet, except for the birds singing their morning songs. I closed my eyes, letting the peacefulness wash over me. This was my favorite time of day, before the world woke up and the noise began.

As I stood there, sipping my coffee and soaking in the serenity, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. This was my heaven – a place where time stood still, and all that mattered was the present moment.

But as I opened my eyes, I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. A figure stood at the edge of the woods, watching me. My heart skipped a beat as our eyes met, and for a moment, time stood still. Who was this stranger, and what was he doing in our woods? The stranger's eyes seemed to bore into mine, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. He was tall, with broad shoulders and a rugged jawline. His dark hair was messy, and his piercing gaze made me feel like he could see right through me.

I stood frozen, my coffee cup hovering in mid-air. The birds had stopped singing, and the only sound was the rustling of leaves in the gentle breeze. The atmosphere seemed to thicken, like a fog rolling in.The stranger didn't move, didn't blink. He just kept staring at me, his eyes burning with an intensity that made my heart pound in my chest. I felt like I was drowning in their depths, unable to look away.Suddenly, he turned and disappeared into the woods, leaving me feeling like I'd been punched in the gut. I gasped, taking a deep breath as the world around me came back into focus. The birds started singing again, and the sun shone brighter, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that I'd just been forever changed.I took a hesitant step forward, my eyes scanning the woods, but there was no sign of the stranger. It was as if he'd vanished into thin air. I felt a shiver run down my spine, and I wrapped my arms around myself, the coffee cup still clutched in my hand.Who was he? And why did I feel like our encounter had awakened something deep within me? I took another step forward, my heart pounding in my chest, and called out into the woods, "Hello?" But there was only silence.I stood there for a moment, my voice echoing through the trees. But there was no response. The stranger was gone, leaving me with more questions than answers. I took a deep breath and turned back to the house, my mind racing with thoughts of who he could be and why he'd been watching me.As I stepped back into the kitchen, I noticed the clock on the wall. I was running late for my art class at the local studio. I quickly grabbed my bag and headed out the door, still feeling a bit shaken from the encounter with the stranger. The drive to the studio was short, and I arrived just as my instructor, Mrs. Thompson, was setting up the day's project. I took a deep breath and pushed the stranger out of my mind, focusing on the art ahead of me.

As I began to paint, I felt my worries and fears melting away. Art had always been my escape, my way of expressing emotions and thoughts that I couldn't verbalize. I lost myself in the strokes of my brush, the colors blending together on the canvas. But every now and then, I'd catch a glimpse of the stranger's piercing eyes in my mind, and my heart would skip a beat. Who was he? And why couldn't I shake the feeling that our paths would cross again soon? The class flew by, and before I knew it, the sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the studio. I packed up my things and said goodbye to Mrs. Thompson, feeling more at peace than I had all day.

As I walked back to my car, I couldn't help but glance around, half expecting to see the stranger watching me again. But there was no one. The parking lot was empty, and the only sound was the crickets chirping in the nearby bushes.

I got into my car and started the engine, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Maybe I'd never see him again. Maybe he'd just been a fleeting moment in my life. But deep down, I knew that wasn't true. Our encounter had left an indelible mark on me, and I had a feeling that our story was only just beginning. As I drove home, the darkness of the evening seemed to press in around me. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched, and I found myself checking my rearview mirror more often than usual. But every time I looked, there was no one there.

When I pulled into my driveway, I breathed a sigh of relief. The house was cozy and warm, lit up like a beacon in the night. I grabbed my bag and stepped out of the car, feeling the chill of the evening air.As I walked towards the front door, I noticed something odd. The porch light was on, but it wasn't just the light that caught my attention. There was a piece of paper taped to the door, fluttering gently in the breeze.

My heart skipped a beat as I approached the door. Who could have left a note? And what could they possibly want? I reached out and carefully removed the paper from the door, my hands trembling slightly as I unfolded it.The note was simple, with just a few words scrawled on it in messy handwriting: "I'll be watching you."

My blood ran cold. Who was this person? And how did they know I'd be home at this exact time? I felt a shiver run down my spine as I realized that the stranger from the woods might be more than just a curious onlooker.I looked around the darkness, feeling like I was being watched even more intensely now. The trees seemed to loom over me, their branches like skeletal fingers reaching out. I quickly unlocked the door and stepped inside, slamming it shut behind me.

As I leaned against the door, trying to catch my breath, I couldn't help but wonder what was happening. Who was this stranger, and what did he want from me? I knew one thing for sure: I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight, not with those words echoing in my mind.I locked the door and leaned against it, trying to calm my racing heart. The note seemed to burn in my hand, the words "I'll be watching you" echoing in my mind. I felt a chill run down my spine as I wondered if the stranger had been here, standing on my porch, while I was out.I tried to shake off the feeling of unease, telling myself it was probably just a prank from a bored kid in town. But deep down, I knew it was more than that. The intensity in the stranger's eyes, the way he seemed to see right through me... it was unnerving.I walked over to the living room window and peeked out into the darkness. The porch light cast long shadows across the lawn, and I could see the outline of the trees swaying gently in the breeze. Everything seemed normal, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched.I stepped back from the window and took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I would talk to my parents about this in the morning, see if they had any idea who could have left the note. But for now, I just wanted to try and get some rest.

As I made my way upstairs, I couldn't help but feel like I was walking into a trap. Every creak of the stairs seemed amplified, and I felt like I was being herded towards some unknown fate.

I reached my room and locked the door behind me, feeling a small sense of security. I leaned against the door, my heart still racing, and tried to catch my breath. Who was this stranger, and what did he want from me?As I looked around my room, I felt a sense of unease. The shadows seemed to be moving, and I could have sworn I saw a figure standing in the corner. But when I looked again, there was no one there.

I knew I had to try and get some sleep, but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was in danger. And as I lay down in bed, I couldn't help but wonder what the night would bring.
