rse station and looking so gorgeously handsome in a gray suit. The young nurses are so giddy, they can't take their eyes off him. And you know what, he brought you flowers! You're a very lucky girl." I stared at her, could not believe what I just heard. "You mean, he's here?" "Yeah. Should I let him in now?" "Of course! You should have told me right away." I took a tissue paper from the side table, wiped the tears off my face and blew my nose. "Oh... yeah, that's the reason why I'm here. I just forgot when I saw you crying." The nurse reasoned out. "Please, just let him in. I've been waiting for him the whole afternoon already." I combed my hair in a hurry and checked my face in the small mirror. "Okay, okay." The nurse said and immediately left the room. My heart was beating faster as I waited for my husband. I was so nervous. I wondered how I would react seeing him? It would be like meeting him again for the first time. The door opened and a tall, lean and devastatingly handsome man came in holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers. My eyes grew big as I stared at him. He looked like a model on the runway or a celebrity. Dark eyes, chiselled nose, prominent jawline and dark hair. I could not take my eyes off him. I could not believe that I married a gorgeous man. I probably fell in love with him at first sight. I did not have any recollection of him. None whatever. He might be a stranger in my mind, but he made my heart beat faster and my pulses racing. He was indeed my husband. My brain forgot, but my heart remembered. "Hello, Jessica." It was all he said and I bursted into tears. Sadness and despair overwhelmed me as I went out of the bed and ran onto him. I hugged him so tight and when he lifted my face, I was lost in his dark compelling eyes. I tiptoed and kissed his lips. . . . 🔥 Aaron's POV: 🔥 What the hell! I checked the time on my watch. Ten minutes and the nurse who informed Jessica of my visit hadn't come back yet. I looked at the bouquet of flowers I brought, feeling disgusted by just holding it. Mom insisted when she called me last night to bring flowers. "It's the least that we can do. You dad and I can't visit her until the event will be done." My mom indicated the one week Cattle and Sheep Farming Festival in Wellington that they organized and sponsored. "Okay. I'll have a flower shop deliver her flowers tomorrow morning." "No way. Bringing her flowers personally would be a nicer gesture." She said firmly. To cut the argument, I agreed. I asked my secretary to get me flowers, and unfortunately, she assumed it was for a lover. I was shocked when she handed me a bouquet of a dozen red roses before I left the office. Doctor Hansen called me earlier and updated me of Jessica's progress. Except for her temporary memory loss due to concussion, she was recovering well. All she needed was a lot of rest. "Two minutes more, and I'm out of here." I was standing at the hallway near the nurses station, and getting so impatient. What took her so long? Getting her hair and makeup done? What the fuck! She wasted too much of my time already. I would never tolerate this prima-donna behavior of hers. That bitch should know who she's crossing with. The nurse arrived and smiled at me. "She's ready to see you, sir." The moment I entered the room, I saw Jessica sitting on bed and looking at me. Her face looked so pale and bare of any makeup. Her eyes were puffy, obviously from crying, and the thick bandage around her head was gone, showing her long wavy ash blond hair. Deceiving. Looking so innocent like a saint, when she was in fact a wicked she-devil. I noticed, she looked s
