Namia had just come for fresh air, she was tired of her older brothers nagging so she came to the seaside to get some fresh air only to be sighted by a litt

uarters, it was only him remaining to assemble in the backyard to work. He was in so much trouble if Master Nicholas should catch him still sleeping, his food for the day would be passed through his nose to his belly. Quentin knew better than to sleep there thinking about the dream that could never be a reality. Imagine a man who was born into slavery being the greatest Alpha of all time. Hahaha, it was something to laugh and mock at. He stood up quickly and resumed at the Alpha King farmland to work. He was cutting the grass when the beautiful memory of the princess replaced his tragic reality. He remembered her walking through the rose garden with her in-hand maid talking and laughing; walking with all mightiness. Her black hair bounced on her back as she laughed gracefully, pushing the well-endowed black strands to her back. Although her father had brutally killed his father according to the story he heard, he couldn't help but fall for the beautiful princess. Nevertheless, he knew he was just dreaming in fantasies because the princess would never acknowledge him. She was only meant for the rich Alpha and Beta's sons who would one day be mated to her. Just as Quentin was doing his work and smiling to himself, he heard some of the other slaves talking about something that seemed to interest him. "I heard the King has ordered for all the males in the kingdom to come to the tryout," said Liam as he chopped off the weed from its root. At this time, master Nicholas wasn't around so it was easier for the male slaves to gossip about the rumor. "But everyone knows no slave dared to go to the tryout." Kelvin rolled his eyes disgusted at the maltreatment and unfairness slaves got from the Alpha King. "How about Quentin? I think Quentin should try out!" Ryan said with ecstasy which made Quentin widen his eyes. He raised his head and saw that everyone was already looking at him. "Ha ha ha, only a slave with no brain will try out," he said waving his hand and covering his sadness to reality with laughter. "Quentin, even if you're a slave, you still have the best voice in all of Oceandale Kingdom. I have never heard a voice better than yours, this is your time to shine." Kelvin walked closer to him and placed his hand on his shoulder. Quentin kept quiet, he said nothing but ponder on what Kelvin had said. It was indeed true that he has the best voice but he was a slave. The king would throw him out in a twinkle of an eye. "Quentin," Amber yelled and waved at him. Quentin turned his head in her direction. She wore a cotton dress undergarment which was famous amongst the slaves. It was the only clothes the slaves wore. She waved her hand to Quentin with a smile and moved closer to him. The male slaves who stood beside Quentin hummed knowingly and did their work. Everyone in the slave quarters knew Amber was very much in love with Quentin except Quentin who innocently thought Amber was only being nice to him. However, Quentin was only in love with the princess, he knew he could never get her but he wouldn't deny himself the fantasies of being with her. Amber rushed to him with a basket in her hand. Of course, it was filled with food. Amber was known to bring leftovers of the king and princess to Quentin. Amber was the in-hand maid of the princess. She got to him and kissed his cheek affectionately. "And that kiss is for singing to me last night. You must have heard that I have a hard time sleeping so you came to my window side and sang until I left off." She smiled and began to bring out the food from the basket. Quentin was confused. He didn't sing for Amber last night, he only sang for the princess after he heard her complain she couldn't sleep most of the night to Amber. That day, Amber said she also felt the same way, she must have mistaken him for singing to the princess to her. Amber's room and the princess's room w
