Your sister's heart is full of words."Lakshmi spoke. She was so beautiful and I must admit, I was very envious of her long hair. She didn't look American at all, I kinda wished I was Indian. "You can also have long hair like Lakshmi?

Mara's POV
"That's how I came to know of Mia and my mother," I said after, I was done explaining my story.
I had been explaining everything to both Scott and Ethane. I just hope that Ethane has managed to figure out Mia's condition.
"I have autism, that's why I tend to behave oddly" Mia spoke up and it seems her statement was directed toward Ethane.
"Okay, thank you for the clarification but I didn't ask" Ethane tries not to sound rude, but he was right. He didn't ask her, so why did she have to mention it?.
"But that is what, was on your mind. I don't like it when people think too much.'' Mia said those words so innocently, I almost felt jealous of her because I knew quite well that if those words were coming from me, then I wouldn't sound so cute. I would sound rude.
"But, I don't understand why this supposed uncle of yours wants the both of you dead. Why did he have to go through so much trouble just to erase you both from the surface of the Earth?.
Even when your father had left the throne for him?" Scott asked and I wondered if he hadn't been paying attention to the story I was narrating earlier, or maybe he had dozed off at that part.
"No offense" he raised his hand in midair, when he noticed the look I had given him.
"He is going to go even further if we don't do something about him. Until now, we have only been avoiding him, but maybe it's time for us to fight back" Mia was talking so aggressively, I began to wonder if it was the same timid girl I was speaking to earlier, that was talking to me right now.
"Mia? Are you the person saying this or should I get another doctor for you?" I went to check her temperature with the back of my palm.
"You sure are surprised. Your sister's heart is full of words."Lakshmi spoke.
She was so beautiful and I must admit, I was very envious of her long hair. She didn't look American at all, I kinda wished I was Indian.
"You can also have long hair like Lakshmi?. As far as I can remember she has a special oil she uses to grow her hair. You can tell her if you want some, and she can tell you how to get it" Mia spoke to me directly and now I was sure that my sister was a mind-reading freak.
"As I said earlier, don't be surprised" Lakshmi spoke again.
"And Mia is right, I'll make sure to give you the oil" Lakshmi assured me, and for some reason I was overjoyed.
"Like I was saying, we will have to fight back" Mia stumped her fist against her open palm.
"And how are we going to do that?" I asked her.
"By taking back what was rightfully ours in the first place. By becoming the Queens we were born to be. Until we can take our crown back and get rid of him, he will never stop coming after us no matter how hard we try" Mia looked very serious, and the more I looked at her, the more I was active.
I mean who wouldn't be with the look on her face that she could scare an entire army away?
"I don't have any intention of scaring anyone" Mia replied and then she kept on talking.
"The only way to defeat him is if we can take Banshee down first," Mia added.
" You mean that witch that's always confusing him into doing stupid things?" I asked her, feeling so disgusted, just by hearing that woman's name I felt like throwing up.
"Yes, and only you can do that but first you will have to help me break my curse" Mia took a deep breath.
"Your curse?" At that point, I was very confused.
"She cursed me from when I was just a little child. My autism is not a natural occurrence, and I won't be able to sneak in there to break it" Mia was still so persistent.
"Our journey begins here" Mia turned to me and looked me straight in the eyes.
"Excuse me, I'm I the only person that is not involved in the conversation despite being present here?" Lakshmi drew attention to herself.
"Mia!.....Mia!" I called out to Mia when I noticed that she had started vibrating, and was acting strange, she fell forward and placed her handon her chest as if trying to gain control over herself.
"Mia! Mia, are you okay?" I rushed towards her, helping her get on her feet.
"What happened? Why am I here?" Mia suddenly looked confused and her confusion became very contagious, it spread like wildfire and everyone began to look at each other
"I know what's going on," Rose walked in on us.
"Sit" I led Mia to the nearest chair and poured her a glass of water.
"She just got possessed by her father, your father" Rose directed her last words to me.
"What?" I became very scared, for the first time in my life. I became very scared of ghosts.
"Don't be frightened, it happens often and it's always for a good cause. One time, Mia locked me in the house and made me miss a bus. It turned out the bus had an accident and no one survived.
"Seriously?" Everyone echoed at the same time with wide-opened eyes.
"Yeah, she'll return to her normalself, eventually '' Rose spoke and I wondered if she knew that the tone in which she said it didn't sound very reassuring.
"How are you feeling Scott?" She walked up to him and began to question him.
"I have been better" Scott replied and she began to examine him.
I didn't know what to focus on at that moment.
Was I supposed to focus on Scott's condition which was what brought Ethane and I to the hospital initially, or what Mia just told us.
"Do you feel any pain here?" I heard Rose asking Scott as she pressed his knee gently.
Ethane came from behind and wrapped his hand around my waist
"Everything is going to be okay. I'm with you now" he assured me, whispering into my ear, and I leaned on his chest while standing.

"You may leave when you are rested" l said to her "what about my payment" she replied "Here you go" l gave her the money and she got dressed and left.
"I don't baby, maybe I just feel comfortable here especially with you by my side" Liam said as he kissed my cheeks from behind. "You know the whole world is going to be against us" I spoke with sadness. "Why do you say so my darling?" He asked me.
Banshee stopped her chants and went to fetch hot sand that was initially in the burning fire and she scattered it on his face. Rubbing it in his head and using it to bathe him, he was in pain, very serious pain.
"Come close" she whispered and I brought myself close to her. "I AM SORRY" she shouted in my ear. "Do you want to make me deaf?" I quickly stopped and gave her some distance. "You said you didn't hear me the first time so I wanted to say it in a manner I would be sure, you heard me" she smiled at me.
Lakshmi please fight for us the way I'm fighting for us now" Scott gripped her shoulder and shook her but she remained quiet. How was she going to tell her mum and the whole of Delhi that she had been having a secret affair with her supposed stepbrother all this while.? How was she going to tell them that she is madly in love with him that's why she sent the wedding invitation to him so he would be able to get passed the security at the gate and stop the wedding.
Nothing" my dad grabbed his jacket and headed out of the room so I quickly hid away before he could see me. Nothing makes any sense any more. My brother has been in that hospital for more than seven months and he is not getting any better. My parents as usual are acting as if nothing is happening…I just hope I don't lose my mind sooner or later. "All these won't be happening if you just get me the necklace" Alyssa appeared in front of me. I had become used to her paying me random and unwanted visits all the time. Trying her best to torment me in the most possible ways and she has been doing well.

Her ex pleaded for a second chance, but she scoffed, "Do you think you deserve it?" Then a powerful magnate gently proposed, "Marry me?"
"Stella once savored Marc's devotion, yet his covert cruelty cut deep. She torched their wedding portrait at his feet while he sent flirty messages to his mistress. With her chest tight and eyes blazing, Stella delivered a sharp slap. Then she deleted her identity, signed onto a classified research mission, vanished without a trace, and left him a hidden bombshell. On launch day she vanished; that same dawn Marc's empire crumbled. All he unearthed was her death certificate, and he shattered. When they met again, a gala spotlighted Stella beside a tycoon. Marc begged. With a smirk, she said, ""Out of your league, darling."

Serena Vance, an unloved wife, clutched a custom-made red velvet cake to her chest, enduring the cold rain outside an exclusive Upper East Side club. She hoped this small gesture for her husband, Julian, would bridge the growing chasm between them on their third anniversary. But as she neared the VIP suite, her world shattered. Julian's cold, detached voice sliced through the laughter, revealing he considered her nothing more than a "signature on a piece of paper" for a trust fund, mocking her changed appearance and respecting only another woman, Elena. The indifference in his tone was a physical blow, a brutal severance, not heartbreak. She gently placed the forgotten cake on the floor, leaving her wedding ring and a diamond necklace as she prepared to abandon a marriage built on lies. Her old life, once a prison of quiet suffering and constant humiliation, now lay in ruins around her. Three years of trying to be seen, to be loved, were erased by a few cruel words. Why had she clung to a man who saw her as a clause in a will, a "creature," not a wife? The shame and rage hardened her heart, freezing her tears. Returning to an empty penthouse, she packed a single battered suitcase, leaving behind every symbol of her failed marriage. With a burner phone, she dialed a number she hadn't touched in a decade, whispering, "Godfather, I'm ready to come home."
Sawyer, the world's top arms dealer, stunned everyone by falling for Maren—the worthless girl no one respected. People scoffed. Why chase a useless pretty face? But when powerful elites began gathering around her, jaws dropped. "She's not even married to him yet—already cashing in on his power?" they assumed. Curious eyes dug into Maren's past... only to find she was a scientific genius, a world-renowned medical expert, and heiress to a mafia empire. Later, Sawyer posted online. "My wife treats me like the enemy. Any advice?"
Today is October 14th, my birthday. I returned to New York after months away, dragging my suitcase through the biting wind, but the VIP pickup zone where my husband’s Maybach usually idled was empty. When I finally let myself into our Upper East Side penthouse, I didn’t find a cake or a "welcome home" banner. Instead, I found my husband, Caden, kneeling on the floor, helping our five-year-old daughter wrap a massive gift for my half-sister, Adalynn. Caden didn’t even look up when I walked in; he was too busy laughing with the girl who had already stolen my father’s legacy and was now moving in on my family. "Auntie Addie is a million times better than Mommy," my daughter Elara chirped, clutching a plush toy Caden had once forbidden me from buying for her. "Mommy is mean," she whispered loudly, while Caden just smirked, calling me a "drill sergeant" before whisking her off to Adalynn’s party without a second glance. Later that night, I saw a video Adalynn posted online where my husband and child laughed while mocking my "sensitive" nature, treating me like an inconvenient ghost in my own home. I had spent five years researching nutrition for Elara’s health and managing every detail of Caden’s empire, only to be discarded the moment I wasn't in the room. How could the man who set his safe combination to my birthday completely forget I even existed? The realization didn't break me; it turned me into ice. I didn't scream or beg for an explanation. I simply walked into the study, pulled out the divorce papers I’d drafted months ago, and took a black marker to the terms. I crossed out the alimony, the mansion, and even the custody clause—if they wanted a life without me, I would give them exactly what they asked for. I left my four-carat diamond ring on the console table and walked out into the rain with nothing but a heavily encrypted hard drive. The submissive Mrs. Holloway was gone, and "Ghost," the most lethal architect in the tech world, was finally back online to take back everything they thought I’d forgotten.
