Tyler Brentwood is your typical playboy, in any relationship for the sex, doesn't give a shit about the partner and will dump you the moment he gets bored. Bree Olson is the same but claims she does it to find her true love. What happens when the two meet? Will they be able to put their differences aside and become friends or something more? And will their attitudes allow a blooming romance especially when there is a secret involved?
Bree applied another layer of cherry red lip gloss, her lips twitching in a smile as she examined her look. Her blonde hair was let into loose, healthy, shiny waves. Her black dress accentuated her curves and makeup, drawing attention to her deep blue eyes.
Unlike her usual dates with her boyfriend Luke, today she had other plans. A week of sexual frustration was all it took to know that Luke wasn't what she needed and she was more than ready to move on to someone better.
Adjusting her silver heels and carrying her bag, she exited her mansion to the car. People's eyes lingered on her as she entered her car but she ignored every one of their gazes despite enjoying the attention.
Her phone rang and her face twitched in annoyance when she saw Luke's name and number written on her screen. She chose to ignore it and began her drive to his condo, playing in her head, how she would break things up with Luke without hurting his feelings too much.
She arrived in a matter of half an hour and handed the keys to the valet who couldn't help but look at her as she took elegant strides towards the elevator.
When she arrived at Luke's apartment, she rang the doorbell and Luke's voice sounded. His footsteps followed and Bree nervously pulled on the hem of her dress.
"Luke, it's Bree." She said almost too enthusiastic for a girl about to break up with her boyfriend.
"Coming." She heard the enthusiasm in his voice and almost felt bad for him.
He opened the door and Bree couldn't help the smirk forming on her face when his eyes raked her body, lust very evident. She shuddered, suddenly no longer feeling bad. He was only using her for her body and it was obvious.
"C...come in..." He mumbled nervously, making way for Bree to enter his apartment.
"That won't be- sure." She smiled at him and walked into his apartment, feeling his gaze lingering on her back before he closed the door.
He carried her and dropped her on the couch, raising her chin and sucking on her neck. She forced a moan and he raised his head, admiring her looks once again.
"You look amazing." He mumbled hungrily and she gave him an uneasy smile.
She traced her finger down his chin and raised his head before crashing her lips on his. She pulled away shortly and flashed him a smile. She could already see what was going on in his head and quickly cut him off.
"Should we-"
"I think we should end this." Bree cut him off and Luke gave her a horrified look, quickly sitting next to her.
"But... we started dating when? Two weeks ago."
"That's all the time it took for me to realize that we aren't meant to be! You aren't giving me what I want!"
"What do you want?" He asked gently, trying to change her mind.
"Sex that's what I want, to enjoy sex!"
"You're a whore!" Luke yelled, his emotions finally getting the best of him.
Bree scoffed and took her purse, "You can be bitter all you want but that won't make me come back to you, asshole."
She quickly left his apartment before he could beg her to come back.
'Could it be that I'm gay? Maybe that's why it's so hard to find a decent boyfriend.' Those were Bree's thoughts as she made her way to her car.
She thought breaking up with Luke would leave her feeling relieved, yet Luke had somehow managed to leave her in a bad mood. She entered her car and drove away, no longer in the mood to celebrate her freedom from their relationship.
The following morning, the news of Bree's and Luke's relationship had spread throughout school and as she approached her locker the following morning, her best friend was waiting to scold her.
"Aah! What's this I'm hearing?!" Bree's friend Scarlett screamed, shoving her phone in Bree's face.
"I broke up with Luke, so? The idiot probably ranted to the press club." Bree asked obnoxiously, moving the phone away from her face.
Scarlett cocked her head to a side at her friend's response, "You're the trending topic at school, what happened to Luke being your forever?!"
"I never said how long forever was."
Scarlett shook her head at her friend. She could never understand why Bree was the way she was, but she loved her like a sister despite what she did to guys and how much hate she received from girls in the school.
"What now?" Scarlett asked and Bree shrugged, opening her locker.
"I think Colin, the student council treasurer likes me so I'll try him."
"Cool, since he invited us to a party-"
Scarlett was cut off by screaming and murmuring and the two girls turned to the source of commotion. A girl and a boy were arguing and while everyone was recording the scene on their phones. Bree on the other hand seemed to be recording the scene with her eyes as she couldn't focus on anything that wasn't the boy involved in the argument.
He had shiny blonde hair, hazel eyes, a cute face with gentle features, and an athletic yet lean build.
"Who's that?" Bree asked, her eyes still on the boy.
"He's Tyler, a new kid. He came last week but rumors have it that he's already slept with at least ten girls. The girl he's arguing with was one of them and she says he has to date her since she gave him her virginity."
"What an idiot." Bree scoffed and Scarlett raised a brow.
"Are you talking about Tyler or the girl?"
"The girl obviously, she's just like Luke. Stop clinging to people when they're not interested." Scarlett sighed and Bree began getting closer to the scene.
"Don't tell me you're going to interfere?" Scarlett asked and Bree nodded.
"What kind of president would I be if I didn't interfere?" Bree flashed Scarlett a smile and took a drink from an onlooker and made her way to Tyler.
"I already told you to leave me-"
Bree spilt the drink on Tyler's head and he paused, spun around, and shot her a glare.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Tyler asked in annoyance and Bree trembled but returned his glare.
"I get that you aren't interested and she's being clingy but that doesn't give you the right to humiliate her in public." Bree retorted and Tyler scoffed, almost running a hand through his hair before remembering what happened.
"And does that give you the right to humiliate me by spilling this junk on my head?"
"Suck it up you idiot, wash up." Bree took the girl's arm and dragged her away from the scene while the other students watched in silence.
She finally stopped in front of the music room and let go of her arm.
"You can leave now and don't bother the idiot anymore." Bree said, eying the girl.
"Th... thank you." The girl mumbled and Bree scoffed.
"Don't thank me, I would have done the same thing he was doing to you," Bree stated and the girl nodded.
Bree sighed and began to walk back to her locker. With all the commotion she had left Scarlett with her books and classes would be starting soon.
"Um... Bree Olson?" Bree turned her head and locked eyes with the treasurer who had called her.
"Um...Colin was it?" Bree asked and he nodded.
"I don't know if Scarlett already told you but I'm throwing a party tonight and would like you to attend."
She raised a brow and his cheeks turned red.
"Does this have to do with me breaking up with Luke?" Bree asked and he nodded slightly.
She smirked and moved closer to him, "I'll try to come." She stated and leaned in to kiss him.
"I'll see you tonight then," Colin said as soon as Bree broke the kiss.
"Yeah." She mumbled with a smile, "Goodbye, Colin," Bree finished and continued on her way back to her locker.
