He's bad news in the making of a Greek God He's everything Mama and Papa warned me about Yet he's capable of fighting my battles and driving away my monsters. He saves me from danger but he's a bigger danger. She's my ruination I don't crave to be her hero, I crave to be her villain.
"You're late". Amelia says as I settle in the backseat of her Jaguar. She pinned me with a glare and I couldn't help the sigh that escapes my lips.
"You should be happy Daddy agreed to let me come. It took me a while to convince them". I reply as she started the car and began driving.
Irene sat in the front seat busy with her kindle. She was always seen reading. Whether it was paperback or ebook, her head was always in one book or the other.
Rosalie sat with me in the backseat busy on her phone. I was dead sure she was scrolling through one of her social media accounts again. She was a popular blogger and got so many followers. However for someone who was into the media so much, she was awfully shy.
"So where are we headed?" Rosalie asked ripping the question right off my tongue.
"To a club to get wasted for the night".
"It does occur to you that we leave for school tomorrow right?". Irene asked looking up from her kindle for a split moment before continuing whatever it was she was busy reading.
"Of course but then there's no harm in a little fun right?" Amelia asks with that ever present innocent spark in her eyes.
She was the craziest of our group but also looked like the most innocent. Whosoever said do not judge a book by its cover must have been thinking of Amelia. She was a perfect example of that statement.
She had all the innocent looks with blue eyes and pretty blonde hair and the most innocent face someone could have. However she was trouble in capital letters. I couldn't count the number of times she had almost gotten us in prison.
"Okay fine. We're not going to a club. My brother's friends are having a party tonight. I'd be the perfect place to get fucked before the new school year ".
What did I tell you about her innocence?
"I must say I'm amazed Kaden would even let you go to a late night party". Irene said absentmindedly
"Worse one hosted by his friends ". Rosalie pointed out.
"He doesn't have anything to say when father let's me go ". She said and I shake my head.
She's always been a daddy's girl. Not spoiled one but a daddy's girl all the same. She's being pampered and treated like a princess whether it's her father or brother doing the daddying.
I pull out my sketchbook and a pencil and open to a blank page. I had been trying to get something on the page for a long time now but nothing comes. It seemed like the images just fly out my head and I couldn't picture anything.
How I'm I supposed to be an artist if I couldn't get a single sketch done in over two months. ?.
Take it slowly. When you feel like you can't get anything done just shut your eyes and let the imagination flow through you
Those were the words of Aunt Penny my mother's younger sister. She was a popular artist and I had always seen her as my role model and inspiration.
However I was nowhere close to being like her. She was a strong woman who faced her fears head on. I was nothing but a coward who couldn't even confess her sins and come clean.
"We're here Astrid". Rosalie's voice came pulling me out of my world. I followed them out of the car . Irene closed her Kindle and tucked it into her bag, while Rosalie put away her phone before we head into the house.
As we joined the party, the sound of thumping music and laughter filled the air. I also noticed the unmistakable scent of drugs especially marijuana. This was one hell of a night
The party was in full swing, with people dancing and chatting in every corner. However I noticed a familiar figure lounged on the couch with two women all over him. However his eyes were busy scanning the room until they landed on us. He raised an eyebrow, probably surprised to see me, the good girl at such a party.
Well I wasn't so sure what I was doing here either. I wasn't in any mood to party but then again I wouldn't want to ruin it for my friends especially Amy. She led us to the bar navigating the crowd with ease.
The living room was spacious with a bar set up at the corner. The house was large with people millin inside and outside. Everyone looked so at ease and I felt so out of place here.
"Relax Astrid. It's just a party". Amelia's calm voice whispered in my ear and I raised my gaze to meet her pretty smile. She led us to the bar where Killian was busy making a girl blush uncontrollably.
The fucker had always been a womaniser.
"Sup angels?". He greeted immediately he noticed us. Abandoning the girl he approached us and pulled the girls in a hug before giving me a tight warm hug.
"Okay. Are we allowed to be jealous?" Irene asked, a hint of amusement dancing in her beautiful green eyes.
"Nah. I love y'all equally. Just my angel looks like hell's ganging up on her". He said and I let out a small but forced smile.
Aside from my father and grandfather, Killian is the only male figure whom I can bear to be around. He somehow always understood me even when I don't say anything which I never did.
"Hell's ganging up on all of us. Giving how the holidays ended in the blink of an eye". Amelia complained and Killian shook his head in pity.
"Sorry about that. Guess it's back to campus tomorrow where there's no daddy to protect you from Kade". Killian mocked and Amelia stuck her tongue at him.
"That's why I'm gonna enjoy my night and get as wasted as can be". She replied and walked off after grabbing a drink.
"I better go after to make sure she doesn't collapse in her vomit". Rosalie said and walked off in the same direction Amelia took.
"So how's life treating you angel". Killian asked taking a sip of his drink before handing it to me.
"As always. I just want to leave this city already ".
"I know right? This year's gonna be fun trust me ". Killian said his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"It'll obviously be fun. That's if you refrain from all the trouble you caused last year ". Irene pointed out and he rolled his eyes at her.
"That's what makes it fun. Rebelling and not get punished. Can't wait to fuck some newbies ".
"God you're a pig ". I mumur loudly and Irene laughs.
*I'll go enjoy the party". Irene said grabbing a drink from the counter. " Try not to kill Astrid Killian". She said and turned to me " text me the moment he becomes suspicious".
I let out a laugh as Killian gave her the middle finger and she returned the gesture with both hands before walking off. Her huge ass swayed as she moved.
Amelia was the curviest amongst the group followed closely by Irene. She had pretty curves which were perfectly fitted into the purple jumpsuit she had on which barely grazed her thigh.
I follow a particular gaze and see Luther King starring at her with an unwavering attention. He was another of Kaden's friends and I had seen him watching Irene ever since I could remember.
Probably because they had been engaged ever since Irene was thirteen and he sixteen.
"Now care to tell me why you look like the world would come apart any moment from now?" Killian asked folding his arms and raising his brow.
"Can we sit. I don't feel too good". I said. I never felt so good around too many people.
Killian led me to a couch at the far end of the room. It was a quiet corner with few people around and less noise except that of the music.
"So?" He pressed on once we were seated.
"I can't seem to get one sketching done. It's been a long time since I got any inspiration". I pour out my frustration and he simply nodded.
Not being good at comforting people, he just pulled me into his arms in a tight friendly hug. One which didn't make me more nervous but calm my racing nerves
From where we sat I could get a good view of almost everything and everyone in the party.
Amelia was busy shaking her ass on stage with a bottle in her hand. Damn when had she switched from glass to bottle? Rosalie was beside her dancing as well but keeping an eye on her throughout.
She had always been the mother hen in our group watching over each and everyone of us. She sometimes stayed up the whole night to look after Amelia when she was having one of her episodes or when Irene needed someone to talk to about her family problems or when I had a panic attack or a nightmare.
My eyes then stray to Irene and Luther who were taking, no, arguing with each other. Kaden and Dante who were chatting by the window. More like Kaden talked and Dante listened with a bored expression on his face
Of all Kaden's friends Dante was the most quiet which beats me as to how he became best friends with roudy Killian.
Then I see him. Seated on the couch like a king with one hand drapped over the couch and his other hand fisting the hair of a girl as she sucked on his cock is the infamous'king'of our university. Jeremy King. His eyes were dark and hooded with pleasure and when they locked with mine I noticed something else.
Lust
