Rhea finds herself mistakenly caught in a breeding ring. Kidnapped from her life, she must escape while dealing with unexpected feelings for the men who captured her and their sister. As she fights to save herself and the others, Rhea discovers that love can emerge in the most difficult situations. Will she embrace her fate and become their mate, or will fear and danger tear them apart?
Rhea had no idea shifters existed and she probably wouldn't have believed it if someone told her about it.
It turned out, there was a different world she didn't know anything about. An entire world of shifters which was supposed to spark up her curiosity.
But even after finding out her bosses and her co worker were wolf shifters, she stayed at the restaurant and just tried to continue minding her own business. She had already heard all about the laws and other stuff shifters had, because Lily thought it would be a great idea to tell Rhea everything.
Lily also told her about the night of her claiming, which she definitely did not need to hear about or imagine. Rhea didn't understand how one woman could handle three human penises at once, talk less of wolves. They probably had bigger dicks.
The claiming had only been that night though and now Lily belonged to her bosses, Luca, Jack, and Sean.
She wasn't a shifter like them. She was a human. One hundred freaking percent human. Although she'd do anything to become anything else, like a fairy or a vampire queen or maybe an Alien. Being human was so boring.
Rhea was able to save up enough money to rent a house on the outskirts of town. She was pretty sure Luca paid her well because she was friends with his girlfriend. Or wife. Or mate. Whatever the hell shifters called the people they date.
Rhea was jealous of Lily in a way. Lily had ran away from her old pack to be alone for reasons but she somehow ended up with three sexy men who would kill anyone and die for her.
She wasn't really jealous of the whole three dicks in each hole bit, but the fact they're willing to risk it all for her? Yeah, Rhea was super jealous about that.
She could understand why Lily fell head over heels with the three guys. They were nice and really attractive but Rhea herself wasn't so much a fan of men in general and If she ever dated again, no offence to her shifter friends, it'd be with a human.
On Friday nights, she and Lily took Luca's truck and went into the neighboring town for training. Luca's a bit too protective and is always worried one of his enemies might try to harm Lily, so he begged her to start self defense classes and Lily found a way to convince Rhea to join her.
Today just happened to be Friday and as soon as Rhea got home from work, she started going through her clothes.
She dialed Lily's number, and she picked up on the first ring. "What's up, Rhea? I'm just about to come pick you up."
Rhea moved to her living room, kicking off her boots. "Can you please bring me some clothes? I mean workout clothes. All of mine are dirty at the moment."
Lily scoffed. "Don't you already have many outfits? We only workout once a week babe."
Rhea just shrugged, not like Lily could see it anyway. "Just bring some for me, please." Her friend laughed. "Fine. I'll find you some workout shorts and a shirt."
She hung up, groaning when she stood and went back into her bedroom. The house she rented was a bit small but it was better than not having a house at all.
She bent over to continue digging through her dirty clothes and eventually, she found her tennis shoes, which had been unused since the last week.
Lily arrived in thirty minutes honking the horn impatiently. Rhea ran out, locking the front door behind her. When she slid inside the truck, Lily handed her the clothes before driving towards the gym. Rhea wondered if the clothes smelled like Lily or any one of her men.
Rhea glanced at Lily. She wore no makeup as usual and she wore the same baggy outfit she had to wear the last few weeks because she was pregnant.
She watched her for a moment, a bit worried. "Are you okay Lily? Aren't you due already? You look like you're about to start Labour, " Which would be a mess and Luca would kill her for not taking her to a hospital instead.
"The contractions aren't that close yet. I still have time," Lily said laughed.
Rhea couldn't believe her ears. "You're seriously going to an hour long self-defense class while you're in labor?"
"Don't worry babe, I can handle it."
"I swear to God if your water breaks there, I'm pretending I don't know who you are," No way she was going to accompany Lily to give birth. She loved her but babies were so not her thing. She was told shifters were a dying breed so she guessed it was okay for them to have more of them, but as for Rhea, no way she's getting a kid.
In ten minutes, Lily pulled into a parking spot, letting out a tired sigh.
Hugging the borrowed clothes to her chest, Rhea got out and glanced back at her friend. "You're definitely not coming in like that Lily. You should go to the hospital or wherever it is shifters go to have kids."
Lily threw Rhea an annoyed look, but soon the look faded. "Okay Rhea. I think it's better i go get ready to have this damn baby already. One of the guys will come pick you up later babe."
She wished her good luck and waved as she watched Lily drive away.
Ugh, I wouldn't have come at all if I knew I'd had to train here alone but I'm already here so I guess I gotta pull through.
Rhea went inside, changed her clothes and came out trying to enjoy everyone's company but she couldn't. She couldn't fake it no matter how hard she tried. She missed Lily.
