Chapter 1 EMERITAS COLLEGE

Elsa,I overhead some girls taking about Emeritas college.

"Honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what makes Emeritas College so special. As a student here, I've come to realize that our school's reputation is largely driven by its affluent student body and the socioeconomic stratification that comes with it. Don't get me wrong, we do have advanced facilities and a nurturing environment that's conducive to learning. But to be frank, I don't think these attributes are unique to our school. What I find more intriguing is how our faculty tends to reserve their warmth and support for students from high-society backgrounds, often leaving others feeling overlooked. I've noticed that we're divided into cliques and social groups, each with their own distinct identity. But what does it truly mean to be part of these groups, and how do they shape our experiences as students? I'm not convinced that Emeritas College is the exceptional institution everyone makes it out to be. To me, it's just a school with its own set of dynamics – some good, some not so."

"As I reflect on my time at Emeritas College, I notice a peculiar culture that seems to favor students with prominent personalities. These students receive special treatment, enjoying privileges that aren't extended to their peers. During school breaks, they're often seated in more comfortable areas, while others are relegated to less desirable spots. When rules are broken, the favored students seem to escape punishment, while their peers face consequences."

"This disparity raises questions about equality and fairness. Why do some students warrant preferential treatment simply because of their personality or social status? Doesn't this create an uneven playing field, where some students feel valued and others feel marginalized?"

"I've observed that these favored students often occupy positions of influence. They're given leadership roles, awarded prestigious scholarships, and showered with attention from faculty members. Meanwhile, other students struggle to get noticed, their talents and achievements overlooked in favor of those with more prominent personalities."

"This culture of favoritism can have far-reaching consequences. Students who feel marginalized may become disengaged, their academic performance suffering as a result. Those who are favored, on the other hand, may develop an inflated sense of entitlement, expecting special treatment simply because of their status."

"To address this issue, I believe Emeritas College could implement policies that promote equality and fairness. Clear criteria for leadership roles and scholarships would ensure all students have an equal opportunity to compete. Faculty members could also make a conscious effort to engage with all students, recognizing their individual talents and achievements."

"By fostering a more inclusive environment, Emeritas College can ensure all students feel valued and respected, regardless of their personality or social status. This would promote academic excellence and help students develop into well-rounded, empathetic individuals."

[ ] "Moreover, promoting equality and fairness can positively impact student relationships. When students feel treated fairly, they're more likely to form meaningful connections with peers, leading to a more supportive and inclusive community, which Is not so in Emeritas College."

"I think Emeritas College could benefit from providing training for faculty members on unconscious bias and cultural sensitivity. This would help them recognize and address their own biases, ensuring fair treatment for all students."

"Establishing a system for students to report incidents of favoritism or unfair treatment would also be beneficial. This would provide a safe and confidential way for students to voice concerns, allowing the college to address issues promptly."

"Ultimately, creating a more inclusive and fair environment requires a collective effort from faculty, staff, and students. By working together, Emeritas College can ensure all students have an equal opportunity to succeed, regardless of background or personality."

"The benefits of promoting equality and fairness extend beyond college walls. Students who experience a fair and inclusive environment are more likely to become active, empathetic citizens contributing positively to society."

Emeritas College has the potential to be a truly exceptional institution, not just because of its academic excellence, but also because of its commitment to fairness and inclusivity. By addressing the culture of favoritism and promoting equality, the college can create a more supportive and inclusive community where all students can thrive."

But I didn't tell u something, there is something I call the squads. Yeah some call theirs clubs some says they are the fashionistas some says they are the cohort, some also says they are the Ensembles, some say they are the group of Elitists. But I classify them as the SQUADS"

'BUT WHO ARE THIS PEOPLE U MENTIONED YASMIN" Elsa asked curious
