The morning sun painted the room in a soft glow as I heard the insistent ringing of my phone. Blinking away sleep, I opened my eyes and reached for the device. It was my dad calling. With a swift motion, I answered, the anticipation hanging in the air. "Princess," my dad's voice echoed through the line, a subtle tension underlying his words. "Daddy, are you okay?" I asked, concern lacing my voice as I sat up in bed. "Sandra, you have to return home," he said, and a wave of disbelief washed over me. "Dad, what are you saying? Why should I return home?" I replied boldly, though a current of fear hummed beneath the surface. As if on cue, William emerged from the bathroom, towel-drying his wet hair. He raised an eyebrow, silently questioning the conversation. I nodded, conveying the seriousness of the call. "So why's your face like this? Is there some bad news?" William asked, sitting beside me with genuine concern etched on his face. "My dad asked me to return home," I answered, my voice carrying the weight of unexpected news. "Wow," William murmured, absorbing the information. "So why the long face?" he continued, a supportive presence at my side. "I don't want to leave you. Who knows when I'll come back?" I replied, my gaze dropping to my intertwined fingers. William pulled me into a comforting hug, his warmth a reassuring anchor in the face of uncertainty. I couldn't fathom leaving him behind. He was more than a boyfriend; he was a piece of my soul. We had shared three years of laughter, dreams, and growing together. "Come on, babe, you know I can't leave you either. How about we go together?" William suggested his voice a soothing balm. A spark of hope ignited within me. "Are you serious, babe?" I asked, searching his eyes for confirmation. "Of course. We can go together, then we'll return after two days," William proposed, and a genuine smile graced my face. "Thank you, babe," I expressed my gratitude, sealing it with a kiss. The passionate exchange momentarily eased the weight of the unexpected journey. "Now let's go eat. I prepared your favorite," William said, redirecting our focus to the present. Williams's words pulled me out of my thoughts, and I suddenly realized how hungry I was. "That sounds amazing," I said, feeling my stomach rumble. "What did you make?" Williams's smile widened, and he held out his hand to me. "Let's go find out," he said "Aww, babe," I gushed, the affectionate nickname resonating with warmth. He piggybacked me as we strolled out of the room, the familiar gesture As we entered the kitchen, I saw the most delicious-looking meal spread out on the table. "Oh my goodness," I said, my eyes wide. "You went all out!" "I wanted to do something special for you," Williams said, his cheeks turning pink. "I know how much this trip means to you, and I wanted to make sure it started off right." I felt my heart melt, and i wrapped my arms around Williams waist, hugging him tightly. "You're the sweetest, I'm so lucky to have you." I said, my voice was full of emoticon." Williams returned the hug, squeezing me tight. "I'm the lucky one," he said. "Now, let's eat before it gets cold." William set me down at the table, revealing a spread of pancakes. He knew my favorite, a testament to the depth of our connection. The aroma filled the room, and I couldn't help but smile. "You sure know how to get me," I laughed, savoring a bite of the delicious breakfast. "So what time should we leave?" William asked, transitioning back to the practicalities of the impending journey. The prospect of facing the unknown seemed more bearable with him by my side. The question brought me back to the reality of the situation, and I took a deep breath to steady myself. "The flight leaves at 9:00 am, " I said, checking my phone for the exact time. "Which means we need to leave by 7:00 am to make sure we have plenty of time." Williams nodded, a look of determination in his eyes. "We can do this," he said, his voice full of confidence. "And we'll have each other's support along the way." I smiled, feeling reassured by his words. "We've got this," I agreed. "Now, let's eat and get some rest," Williams said, cutting into his pancakes with a fork. "We've got a big day ahead of us." I took a bite of my own pancakes, savoring the warm, fluffy goodness. "Mmmm, these are delicious," I said, a look of bliss on my face. "You're the best chef I know." Williams blushed at the compliment, and he tried to hide his smile behind his napkin. "Oh, stop," he said, his voice teasing. "I'm just a humble pancake maker."I laughed, and the sound filled the room with joy. "Humble or not, these pancakes are out of this world," I said, taking another bite. "You should open your own pancake shop." Williams laughed, shaking his head. "I think I'll stick to being an engineer," he said, taking another bite of his pancakes. "Pancakes are just a hobby." I grinned, taking another bite of my own pancakes. "Well, you're a hobbyist with a gift." Williams smiled at the compliment, his eyes shining with pride. "Thanks," he said, his voice warm. "But let's not forget the real reason we're here. Your trip. Are you nervous about it?" I swallowed a bite of pancakes and thought about the question. "A little," I admitted. "But I'm also excited. It's been a while since I've seen my family." Williams nodded, understanding my mixed emotions. "That's understandable," he said, reaching out and squeezing my hand. "But I know you'll do great." The touch of his hand was reassuring, and you felt a sense of calm wash over you and I gave him a reassuring smile In response, William's smile widened and he gave my hand a gentle squeeze. "I'm glad I could help," he said. "Now, let's finish up these pancakes so we can relax and get ready for tomorrow." I nodded in agreement, feeling a renewed sense of determination. "You're right," I said, feeling my appetite return. "Let's finish these off and then we can relax and enjoy the rest of the evening," I said and we headed to the room
