The Man Who'll Stay

"Darating pa kaya 'yong taong pipiliing manatili sa buhay ko, even in my darkest days?"

Madalas kong tanungin ang sarili ko, 'am I really worth-staying with?'. Kasi kung oo, bakit halos lahat ng importanteng tao sa buhay ko, iniiwan ako?

So, maybe, I'm not.

My mom left me with my dad when I was 7. Nagkaroon kasi ng affair si Papa sa ibang babae. The last thing she said to me was 'babalikan kita' but she never did.

Then at my 10th birthday, my dad died because of a road accident. Lasing itong pauwi na sana sa bahay because he promised me that he'll be home after his work. Pero pinili niyang makipag-inuman muna that led him to that accident.

He became very alcoholic when mom left us. He was so broken and so I was. Ang kaibahan lang naming dalawa, noong mawala siya, mas nadurog ang puso ko.

My aunt took care of me but when I turned 18, she asked me to leave dahil hindi na nila ako kayang suportahan, pati ang pag-aaral ko ng kolehiyo. But then, I was very thankful to her, if it wasn't for Tita Miguela ay hindi ako makakapagtapos ng high school.

I worked in a fast food restaurant to support my living expenses.

There, I met Dylan. The guy who made me realize who I really am. Dylan was my first boyfriend. Siya 'yong taong nagparamdam sa akin na hinding-hindi na ako muling mag-iisa. But he made me feel that feeling once again.

We broke up after a year of our relationship. I found out that he was cheating on me with a girl. I was too foolish to believe him and his words. I loved him so much. Now, I am all alone...again.

That was 3 months ago.

Ngayon, I made a big decision to leave and find my peace far away from the place where I felt so hurt and broken.

Nagdesisyon akong pumunta sa isang probinsya. Malayo sa stress ng syudad kung saan ako nanggaling. Kahit tatlong buwan lang, gusto kong magpahinga at mag-isip.
