Seraphina's life was turned upside down when her pack was attacked. She was just 18, a naive Omega who only wanted to be loved and cherished by her mate. But she didn't get that chance. Her parents were slaughtered before her eyes, and then she was captured by the attacking pack's Alpha, Lucian. One day she learned that Lucian had a twin brother, Orion. He was his identical twin, but unlike Lucian, Orion seemed to sympathize with her. She could see it in the way he looked at her. There was a conflict in him. But Seraphina didn't know if Orion could save her. If he could, she would fall in love with him. She would give herself completely to him. But Lucian became more and more possessive of her. He had a secret he had kept from her for far too long. The truth would set her free, but it would also put a target on her back. The men would stop at nothing to claim her.
Seraphina point of view.
When I woke up, my head was dizzy and I couldn't remember why I was in bed.
I slowly sat up, realizing that I was not in my bed. My sheets were made of cotton instead of the soft velvet I was used to. My whole room was gone, replaced by a cold and modern apartment.
"Are you okay, princess?" a low voice asked.
I blinked through my blurry vision, slowly coming to terms with the man sitting at the end of the bed. His dark hair was messy and his dark blue eyes were rimmed with dark circles.
"You're..." My mouth was so dry and my voice came out as a croak. I licked my lips and tried again, "You're Orion."
He smiled, "Very good."
"Where am I?"
He tilted his head, his smile growing wider. "You're home."
"No." I shook my head, my arms trembling beneath the blankets. "No, I'm not. This isn't my home."
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees. "It is now," he murmured, reaching out to stroke my cheek.
I froze, unsure of what to do. He was an Alpha but seemed nice, gentle. His fingers were soft against my skin, and the warmth of his touch made me feel safe.
I wanted to trust him, but I knew I shouldn't.
"Who else is here?" I whispered.
Orion chuckled. "Who do you think? Lucian is home."
I frowned, trying to remember. A flash of images came to me of a fire burning in the distance, the moon high in the sky, blood on my skin.
I gasped as they all came together, my heart racing with fear. "Lucian is the one who took me," I whispered, my breath coming out in short heaves. "The Alpha that attacked my pack."
Orion's expression turned sympathetic. "You don't remember?"
"No." I shook my head.
"He took you that night. You were bleeding pretty badly. Lucian brought you here, and I patched you up."
I swallowed hard, running my hands over my skin. There were no scars and no bandages, although I could see a bruise on my arm and a few more along my torso. I didn't think he would have hurt me so badly though, that it would leave any kind of scar.
Unless... I had been out for a while.
"How long have I been out?"
"A few days," Orion replied. "I gave you a lot of medicine to help your body heal."
"Medicine?" My nose twitched as his scent hit me again. He was different from Lucian and different from myself he wasn't a wolf but a human.
"I'm a pack doctor," he said.
I looked up at him again, taking in the fact that he wore a pack doctor's uniform.
I felt the corners of my mouth twitch, wanting to smile. He had a kind face, not as brutal as Lucian.
His eyes were gentle, his skin was fair, and his body wasn't as muscular. He seemed more like a human than a monster, unlike Lucian.
"How are you feeling right now?" Orion asked, drawing my attention back to him.
"Sore," I answered. "My head hurts. What did you do to me?"
"Just some antibiotics and painkillers. You also needed some stitches. I had to sedate you so that you didn't wake up and hurt yourself or try to escape."
"Escape?" I snorted, scoffing at the idea. "I couldn't escape even if I wanted to. Your twin is a wicked devil, you know that? I can't get out of the apartment."
Orion winced. "Yeah, he can be like that. He's a bit paranoid about our security."
"Paranoid?" I hissed, scowling. "He's a monster. He's mean and brutal and scary."
"He's not all of those things," Orion murmured. "And he wouldn't hurt you."
"He killed my pack and kidnapped me," I snarled, glaring up at him.
Orion held my gaze for a moment before looking down. I could smell a flash of guilt and shame.
"I didn't know, princess," he whispered. "I swear to you."
"He's your brother," I said.
"My twin," he corrected. "Not my brother."
I drew in a breath, watching as the door opened. Lucian stalked towards the bed, his eyes narrowed on us.
His scent washed over me, and my body immediately reacted by tightening and preparing for him.
I was in heat, although not as badly as the night I had been taken. Still, I knew that it was only a matter of time before my body became a prisoner of my own need.
My heart raced as I watched Lucian move closer. He was taller and wider than Orion, with more muscle and more scars.
His skin was tan, his hair was dark, and his eyes were piercing blue. They seemed to bore into me as he moved, his hands curling into fists.
"Get out of here!" Lucian growled at Orion.
"I want to stay," Orion said, looking up.
"Do as I say," Lucian snarled, stepping around the bed.
Orion didn't argue with him again, just got up and moved towards the door. He gave me a soft smile before leaving us alone, closing the door behind him.
Lucian stood at the end of the bed for a moment, staring at me. I could see the war in his eyes as he considered what to do with me now that I was awake.
I watched him, my mouth growing dry. His body was tense, his jaw clenched, and his hands curled into fists.
